My heart beats to the rhythm of a war drum
As my eyes fade they fall away from the horizon
Because what my eyes see is a world centered in the middle of eternity
And whats beyond those blue skies to me will always remain a mystery
So I sit quietly as I watch the beauty of a sunrise
My thoughts are constant, but nothing too specific
Because I sense there is a part of me thats missing
And all that I know in my heart is that I really miss it
I then close my eyes, because I know only that my soul can see it
And with one breath I know I can release it
Angels hover over me so that they can be a witness
Because what my heart feels outweighs all of my indifferences
The part of me that wants to choke away the person that I really am
The side thats been afraid as my heart in the saddest state its ever been
I pull myself together just to fall apart again
But this time joy has become something more then just a friend
She opens my eyes and I spy something so magnificent
Ive seen it before, but this time it was heaven sent
And if I turn away then I may never have another chance
To raise my arms and grab the morning star using only just my hands
The sun shines on me and shows me who I really am
And it takes a broken heart from the saddest place its ever been
And inside I hear a voice whisper something quietly
Please dont let sorrow steal another day away from me
