This poem reiterates the saying that we should be thankful for what we have Linda.Could you imagine life without eyes,it will be a dark and dull world indeed my friend.A strong write and i hope all is well on your part of the globe....sending warm greetings your way.
As always, you are right on the money with what you write. Even when you stop the thought goes on. You think of all the glories around us and the people who have sight but just wont see them. Yes, to be without sight would be a terrible thing, especially if you had seen the glories of the world. I enjoyed this. Makes one think. Catch you later.

very right you are...I think when one loses any one of there abilities is tragic. as the body needs to be whole. if one can not walk into the sun light then you can not see. if one can not touch then how can you feel,if one can not hear then how can you know the birds song. very good poem with a very good truth.

this is a paramount to every poet! thank you Linda
I agree shadow sight is such a blessing. When I went to school I think it was maybe third grade we did a course on the braille alphabet we also did hand language for the death. I cannot remember none of my braille. Sadly I did not continue to practice it. They say if you don't use it you lose it, so true. I remember a little of my sign language. I would miss the arts and crafts . This poem really got me thinking.
