Bye Bye Facebook

We had our ups,
we had our downs
Lost friends and family,
lovers you helped me find.

But now it's time for us to part,
too many unwanted memories,
I need a new start.

So no more post or status updates,
goodbye Facebook,
our time was great.

Hence to all my friends,
If you got my number,
give me a call.
But if u don't and want it,
just let me know.

As the curtains falls,
goodbye Facebook and that was all.

About this poem:

Unwanted updates that you don't want to see, new relationship status, someone else not me. Wasting my time flicking through past photos and recalling happy and unhappy memories of a life that's been, dwelling in the past on an electronic society. Already addicted to too many things, quitting FB is a start.

Thanks Diana, Andrew and Radex for reading ; to be honest this is my second time deleting my FB. FB has become so intergraded in or daily life that it has become a social norm and global pastime. Even after deleting FB the first time I couldn't get away from hearing about it, seeing it, new friends asking me for my FB and then have to explain why I quit. FB is bloody harder to quit than smoking! For it has become a drug that is socially acceptable.
