Insomnia

A Sultry feeling,
lost in my mind,
I can't remember
Much of last night.

My Head is pounding,
splitting in two,
thinking too much,
remembering who?

Motor Engine roaring,
As people passing by.

Church bells hymns,
ringing in my ears,
Sounds like a jackhammer,
Pounding a concrete lullaby.

Peace and quite impossible it seems,
With the hustle and bustle
Of busy city life.

No rest for the wicked,
nor peace insight
No cool change to this heat wave
A typical Australian summer
With BBQs, flip flops and Flies

Hi, HieuDao,
With snow piled up white here in Boston, it is somewhat hard to relate to Insomnia's expressed anguish about A typical Australian summer With BBQs, flip flops and Flies. (I love that last line!) Thanks for sharing.

HieuDao,
I relate oh too well with the symptoms of sleeplessness, blues
But, like gnj4u, "I sure can't relate to any heat-wave with
15" of snow outside, with a threat of more on the way!-
Wanna trade weather!??!?laugh
Great write.thumbs up
