eastern washington, water of plenty where the columbia flowes, yet not a maney tree congreate. Lakes and marshes full of bird song. Canyons ingraved in basalt cliffs with rolling hills sweeping the land. Earth of clay and sand where the wild flowers bloom. Sweeping winds the tumble weeds do ride amoungunst the sage progeney. Where the rattle snake lives and the mule dear play and the muskrat swims,in the depth of night a lowley cyote howels.
Lovely imagery and write Cam, enjoyed visiting. Happy New Years glad your hereā¦Jesse

thank you M for the comment, this poem barley scraches the surface of my area of washington, most people think of seattle and the coast line verses the sun basin, years ago when I first moved here the land seemed so desolate but through the years this desert has shown so much life and beauty that the woods cant even compeat with.

thank you angel, each desert is so diffrent. The deserts in new mexico are so diffrent then the deserts in calf and oregan the washington desert is diffrent in its own right, I have lived in all four and the beauty each one holds are unique and they all have one thing in common bunney rabbits, rattlesnakes, scorpions and cyotes all the other critters and plant life are diffrent types but the same and the land scapes all hold a whole new world within a world, but washington is my home.
draws quite the picture dear friend beautifully penned

mimzy,
I love your home already and have not seen it! But, Oh, yes I have. Now I remember!! lol. I just seen it through your eyes and the wonderful way you described your home. What a nice place to be. "depth of night a lowley cyote howels." I would like to hear that as long as they don't come too close! Thanks for sharing your home. Take care. Blessings. Peace, Pink.
For your home some house warming gifts to give you a little lift,
