If You only Knew

This art may be taboo to you
One slice, two, more I pursue

I aim to be free,
To be numb of this pain in me

Here’s a thought or two,
Let this intricate plan be my debut

I’ll bleed it all out, on the floor I lay,
Progress towards this life I slay

When asked “how are you?”
I’ll reply, “if only you knew”

I crack a smile as I die inside,
‘cause no one knows I’m a beautiful suicide.

About this poem:
The thought of suicide can seem so intriguing when Pain is the only truth ever known. What I wouldn't do to be FREE, to change this reality.
With two failed attempts myself- my thoughts have evolved from "A second chance at death" to "one more at life"
for now...it remains "one more at life"

Thank you for the kind gesture. However, as the time being, I'm currently not in that "hole" but frequently fall in.
Thank you for reading. teddybear

well spoken, we do hide our inner self at times with a smile do we not.

That's the beauty of writing. Through words spoken on paper, true emotions are expressed. Emotions that need to be expressed, yet when another reads such written emotions, people are able to connect on a much truer/deeper level. Thank you!
