To me, you are most sacred.
You are my hope and my salvation.
I have known you since my beginning,
And you were my first love.
I will remember you always,
For you have touched me deep within my soul!
And you are so necessary to me
Like words to this poem I have written,
Like blood in my veins, like breath in my lungs,
For you have kept me sane when
All around me comes undone!
And when the mundane is all I see,
You keep me hoping and believing
The truth about me, that I can do
And be anything I desire,
So help me God!
