Magical Hummingbird
On winged endless flight
Blown in on soft wind
Flutters into morning light
A welcome familiar friend
Nuzzles bright red bloom
Then darts off again
Flower to flower resumes
In feathered costumes
Colors to delight
So sweet a tiny sight
In window bright
As nectar sipped
Tongue gently dipped
Smiles excite
To vivid delight
Heart beating fast
Humming wings
Softly sings
Flies away
In morning dew
Day still new
Returns
Begins
To sip
Again

Here is a haiku to complement it:
blown in with the wind
hummingbird nuzzles a bloom
then darts off again
I used the traditional 5-7-5 syllables structure for my haiku.
Your statement, "hummingbirds are magical",(with which I agree) will make an excellent second line for a 5-7-5 haiku.
Perhaps you can write it your self and post it for us.
So sweet a tiny sight... This amazing creature is a delight to watch; and your verse, with a shape that reminds me of the humming bird's long beak, is a lovely salute to the Magical Hummingbird. Thank you for sharing.
