'Baby I need your lovin'

Baby I long to sit in
your kicthen..
Pull up the blinds and
let the morning sun
warm your face
Your soft robe envelopes
your body and the smell
of eggs over easy teases
my heart on this country
farm
Don't know much about
horses but to watch you
ride is poetry in motion
You strap those long boots
on like a solider off to battle
But the vitality in your smile
betrays you as a lover of life
I think I'm gonna like it here
I like the way you stoke the
fire on chilly nights
I offten watch you as you gaze
at the stars
You are a child of wonder
But the woman in you knows
the magic of night
And with every taste of your
kiss makes me a better man.

Aww... fabulous poem - reminds me of A Few Good Women - another facet, in a way. Love all of it...and

'...the vitality in your smile betrays you as a lover of life.... every taste of your kiss makes me a better man.'

Catlock.. As a matter of fact I've been listening to the four tops for
the last month and used this title to their song for a poem. I do
that with a lot of groups. I"ve been singing this song for a good while
too. Lol. I love the emotional energy of their songs.

Ahh... so!laugh So you're another one who listens to music for inspiration. My husband either listens to it, or makes it up in his head when he writes poetry.

Maybe that's my problem-in trying to write- that is.
I'm a big music lover - but I never listen to it when I'm writing anything...

Great song by the way gift

Catlock or even Catalog(cuz I sure do like looking at high-heeled shoes in catalogs....grin )

Catlock.. I don't listen to music when I write. My inspiration is everything, life,
every created thing, any thought, etc. All I have to do is sit down to
write and a thought for a poem pops into my head? It's automatic.
But I should take the time to actually write out a poem which I
have with maybe a half dozen of my 600 poems. But after I write and
the poem gives me a good feeling then I'll listen to music which in
turn gives me inspiration for more poems. I try not to write about
anything if I don't feel it. If I pop off a poem with no real conviction
behind it, it usually turns out to be rather bland. So I do wait a bit
til I have collected as it were the full range of some soulful emotion
before I pen it. If I can help others to 'feel it'too, then I guess I did
the job right.

Wow! This was a rather long explanation and my usual fee is
$29.95, but since times are tough I'll require six maidens to
give me a bubble bath..
Then.. tuck me in for a bedtime story. It's only fair.

Thank you for that explanation - I've definitely seen that happen when a person tries to write & have told them to just wait...(I never purposely set out to write a poem ever-except the one time in school- which is an esp. good thing- people here have been very gracious to me as it is-including you- except for that 29.95...)

But I've been surprised at the number of poets who do use music- that is, it helps them write - they don't copy what they're hearing... just something about music. My husband loves music so much, he knows all the incidental music in most movies and television shows...

Well, I don't listen while I write, not even letters(and I'm pretty good at those laugh)... but poet's each have their own beautiful way of writing their own beautiful poetry.

Back to the 29.95- you'll have NO trouble getting 6 maidens - but why bother? You have Silly Sally(she's prob. worth... Six ...and you could nickname her 'Silly Sally Sixpence'... I kinda like that!rolling on the floor laughing )
