In Bethlehem on Christmas Eve there shone a mighty star To guide the three majestic kings who traveled from afar The object of their searching was a child born that night Whose birth in a dreary manger stall belied his holy light
And now on Christmas Day we’ve come to celebrate His birth And give our thanks to what He’s wrought upon this planet Earth So join our merry band this day, and sing a cheerful song That we may rest our hearts and souls, and perhaps to sing along
