Parting

The dreaming of the nights lies,
How you stooped to show your worth,
The warmth was neglible in your eyes,
Life is about love and mirth,

So many times you said I love You,
The catchphrase of lament,
The hollowness of those words in view,
For in your heart there was never any intent,

So now what do I do,
My heart is floundering to contain,
To live a lie or live without you,
All one wanted was sweet loves refrain,

Time should be a great heal,
Parted now from those loving days,
Your true worth you did reveal,
Broken and hurt until new love sways.

Parting is often hurting, but sometimes it is exactly what we need to regain freedom and become ourselves again. In either case it is a fresh start for a new and, hopefully, better life. The moment you overcome sadness of parting new horizons appear, and you are confronted with multiple choices you have to make! “Your time may come. Do not be too sad, ... You cannot be always torn in two. You will have to be one and whole, for many years. You have so much to enjoy and to be, and to do.” (J.R.R. Tolkien)
Many thanks for sharing, dear poet! bouquet wine
