Your own True Colours
Friendly laughing people all around,
Your eyes follow movements of some,
But your heart beats slowly without a sound,
Wondering what one has really done,
Music is playing, a different beat,
Swaying slowly allowing ones body move,
Then moving those two left feet,
Gently allowing one into the groove,
Timing is whats its all about,
Shaking the thoughts out of ones mind,
True colours will always shout,
But in reality she was a real find,
Then that sudden unnerving chill,
Everything becomes a shadowless room,
No one with you to enjoy the thrill,
Your mind thinks twice as faces retreat in the gloom,
Then your truly greatest fear,
That hollowness of ones heart,
Your on your own no one is near,
So you flee for a new start.

About this poem:
When that missing something in your life suddenly captures you and the feelings of ones heart betrays you.
