There's No Place To Be But Alone

There's no place to be but alone
I'd make an effort but where is there to go
Yesterday is over and today is almost gone

The rain is so blue
It's having a hard time trying to fall
There's a mist on the window
And memories are not much company at all

There's no need to think about moving on
Cause there's no place to be but alone

My umbrella is leaning against the wall
I stare at it a for a long time
Memories are not much company at all
And it seems like the past is going blind

Maybe I need to live in a little town
Where they have a slow speed zone
There I could walk away the blues
Knowing there's no place to be but alone

I agree with Exred - we need to perk you up in CS corner. If Cafe was here - he would start a Castle party! I keep busy at church and with other things going in my life. But never too busy for the CS corner. Good luck and have a very Happy - Healthy and wonder New Year.

thanks for the comments I'm not sad but sometimes can feel a little lonely it is just that if a poem pops in my head from out of the blue I had better write it down or I'll forget Happy New year

This is how I feel oftentimes, but I am used to it and it doesn't hurt. Being alone is when there is no one beside - at times there may be someone who even stays on, for a while or longer, still this doesn't change the picture. A small town with its slow speed doesn't help and a great city with its frenzy and big crowds is a complete disaster - truly there's no place to be but alone! Very impressive! Thank you for sharing the poem, dear poet, and I am happy I stumbled upon it. Happy New Year, let it bring you fulfillment of what you wish most!
