"Gone away"

I clutched and held
To my own heart I kept

Then as usual
I would lose what I had met

To be within happiness
of course it is to give

then a time

Your love

that drew no breath to live

Slips away to a
beautiful mime

I try as I do
wave away all that was mine

Sadness rushes
through my blood

It is but with
memories

That never with me

He really loved

sophia, your poem is sad and expresses the feelings many often feel, "I clutched and held
To my own heart I kept", of course is double-edged, and "To be within happiness
of course it is to give" adds the notion that to get love we have to give love, yet ends that maybe he didn't love me, but only some memory...a good write lady. ;-)

The only cure for love lost is love found. This touching piece reaches a lot of hearts, I'm sure. Condolences on the loss, kudos on the write and good fortune on the horizon. wine
