Oh Christmas Tree

Oh Pohutakawa
You enchant me
Spreading your limbs
To give shade to thee
Flowering freely as you go
Vibrant reds for you to show
Along the foreshore all in a line
Planted well before my time
Creating a canopy so sublime
Reds and greens and the branches of time.......

Black dune rising............

Black sands rising amidst the green
An amazing spectacle that must be seen
Huge and barren it’s hard to define
For it's bordered by forests and stands of pine
Make your way across the dunes
To follow the footsteps of others soon
And when you reach the highest peak
Your world opens to what you seek
An ancient lake nestled between
The greenest canopy i’ve ever seen
And the aura that abounds from this place
Travels with wisdom from an ancient race
To seek the coolness and quench the fire
Or just relax and fondly admire
Then return along the lakes flow
A trickling stream downwards so
Along past the old farmers batch
Startling quails with lens we catch
Admiring fat black cows and their view
While they ponder on what we do
Past giant flax flowering free
And nature’s grasses and weeds you see
A narrow coarse of water for it to be
Winding it’s way ever so naturally........

Moon

Full moon,
Hiding behind the
Veils of a dark witch…
Poetry is a spell of
Thought, of art
Playing with
Shadows of a
Sculpture of
A frozen music…
An enigma of
Time rendering
Abstract halos…
Clouds lighted
By the moon
Are witches
Chanting and dancing…
A seer has opened
His scroll ……
Poems are slowly
Making the moon
Disappear …..

Clouds

They are floating bums,
Elegant, picturesque …
And Bumlicious….
Now they are gigantic
Doodles scribbling the
Sky with subliminal poetry…
There I see a guitar
Being plucked,
A breast being suckled…
A lamb being slaughtered,
Like Abraham rendering
Sacrifice…
They are serenading
Like a chorus of singers ….
Melodying an Arpeggio…
They are floating again
Like fiery monsters….
A row birds in flight
Resembles the shape
Of victory ….
Is it a sign of luck …?
I am hopeful too
A weary traveler of
This earth…

Moon

Night’s lantern…
Now shining as
A white ball….
The witch has
Put on her cloak of dark….
And is gazing at the shimmering
Crystal ball hanging lazily in the sky…..
The full moon is nature’s art gallery….
Welcoming me now to sedate
My dreams to a nostalgic sleep……..
I wandering now on the moon
As a fantasy traveler…..
I come across ice cold rocks
And they melt freezers
Into my white skin…..
I see a ghost who
Went to the moon
After Eternal Sleep…….
I meditate on the shores of a lake
Now glistening with marrow
Of moon’s light…….

Dawn

Pink abstracts
Lay like paintings
On the wall of the sky…..
Chirping lend a
Melodious lullaby
Soothing the ear with music….
Night’s white buttons,
Are still twinkling
Like a seer’s eye…..
Mist is hovering like
An Arabian Carpet ….
I hear echoes of happiness…..
I see love arising in round warmth…..
Time is travelling
On mystic feathers
Flapping poetry as
Lyrical music
That rhymes a pattern
Of stitching a harmonious art…..
Oh, I dream of passion ….
I am patient about the
Many women that I can love…..

Someday Shadows

I was cast in shadows of doubts
Where I would stand in winter woods
Surrounded by these long straight bars
Stretching majestically away from the sun
So that standing behind each tall bare tree
Rising right high over me or under me
Not always knowing which direction
Will leads me home or away to darkness
And as always light should follow me
Shining path I will follow along the way

Snow

Snow

White achromatic clad on the ground
Comes the sharp falling oak leaves
Loosed by a fierce changing wind
Tossed like many spinning blades
A rip saw dancing end over end
Many rotating teeth all zig-zagging
Bouncing airborne and back again
Flipping left to right twisting right to left
Tumbling tossing twirling slicing
Touching cutting tearing to shreds
Every inch of an once perfect surface

Water

The water tickled
Her flesh
As she stepped deeper
Into the lake
