My pal is one of a kind
welcoming and gay
A sweetness he emits that none compare,
a heart of gold is all he is
My pal is the one i saw,
lost in a corner all forlorn.
through his suffering i helped him through
unwanted he was,
a treasure for me that day,
he became
My friend is all i ever want to have
he made me realise that love still exist
and is special in its own way.
I remember how i tended him
and scared my friend was,
hiding under the chair for a week without sound.
I tried to show him my heart was what i offered,
telling him it will be ok ,
after so much he gave me his first kiss of affection even if than he ran and hid scared to trust again ,
to me a success was that day
for i found a friend in that sweet and lovely act.
Time passed by and he trusted again in every way,
i gained his love and tenderness and realised how blessed i was to have helped him that day.
He was beaten and i gave him life and hope and when i needed the most he helped me believe in love once more and gave me his thanks by being always my side,
my bestest furry friend i could ever have! :) .

About this poem:
an older post i am reposting after reading RavensGold "Game of Death" and Odettas "Gray Wolf" and so this is my contribution to the matter of irresponsible pet owners and cruel SOB's across the globe. If you click on the poem itself you would see the hound dog beside it

A childlike scream, so wild so real
So human, fills the air
The shattered dream of a life once free
Ends in tragedy
The green green grass
Is green no more
Dyed red,
Died in Agony.
Is this what they come to see
Time and time again
Another sacrifice, another wasted life
Spilled upon the ground
Who are the animals anyway
Which ones are the animals here today
Yeah....
Its just a way of life, for the civilized
Pillars of the community
Those bigots of a bygone age
reflect a sick society
Supported by the church and state
In legalised brutality
Is this what they come to see
Time and time again
Another sacrifice, another wasted life
Spilled upon the ground
Who are the animals anyway
Which ones are the animals here today
Yeah....
Life is cheap in the game of death
Life is cheap,...
In the game of death....
LIFE IS CHEAP IN THE GAME OF DEATH.

Why do the birds fly high and on by when there is sunshine in the sky? They always stay together no matter what the weather. Flying and playing around, looking for food on the ground.
I feed these birds everyday and if I do not, they surely have a word or two, (I mean chirps!) to say. When I go outside they sit on this one tree just waiting on me.
It is nice to have my friends with feathers that are always there. Feels good that they care. When I feed them I have to tell you they do not want to share. Sometimes there is one or two that I have to shoo when they act in the wrong way.
In the evening, I say good nite and they know I will be there come morning, because I trust and know God watches over them and not to worry about tomorrow, for it will take care of itself.
Fly away to my feathered friends. Time has come for you to go. Fall is here and this I know. Soon the leaves will fall and I will no longer hear your call. I shall miss you my friends. See you soon when the seasons ends.

Stirred by the winds of change she murmurs the stories destined to tell, releasing sensual call in the air, luring him to the doom of his loyns. His search causing his heart to swell, leaving empty desires. On ponds waters they greet for the mateing is a grand affair.

They run around all day long and seem to always get along. When they lay a egg a song of salutation is rung. Off for a dirt bath out in the sun, finishing a hole that was barley begun. Scurring about with out any doubt always on the scout, looking for tht glorous morsel lurking about.

There was a woman
nightmare of mine,
dead asleep within me
discarded like a dead flower...
A drought divides us
from the flames of my spine,
to her fiery vertebrae
lies barren soil...
Love comes and goes like the night
fleeing with a slice of the soul,
often coming to ransack
what is left of the heart...
Sometimes it is a candle flame
the bright sun in the sky,
only rising to falter
to be reborn another day...
An estranged flower picked from random bush
mockingbird trickster by hand of goddess,
announcing presence to the heart
often not truly seen...
With words of pollen spread to wind
used to heal most restless soul,
bitten deep by faithless love
I replant in fertile soil...
I whisper at night into the dark
before crossing sleeps silent gate,
soon I will be in the arms of another
whose name I not yet know...
She will bring to me
songs of childhood dreams,
upon sheets of milk white silk
and passion will open her thighs...

Those tiny little feet walking
down the sea sand on the misty morning
leave the space between the sea and the ocean
just to see his eyes deeply broken.
Those tiny little feet always behind me,
even when I was about to cry,
or when i was just staring the sea absentmindedly,
the little tiny feet always save me.
How I miss my tiny little feet
and see him again to greet.

Full of colour and so very gay
my voice it can be very shrill
keep me happy so I won't stray
See my feathers all in array
I sit and watch upon the sill
Full of colour and so very gay
Keep that beak of mine at bay
I can use it with such great skill
keep me happy so I won't stray
Now watch my fancy foot play
as I sit here and preen a quill
Full of colour and so very gay
so just sit and watch my byplay
its fun and will give you a thrill
keep me happy so I won't stray
thus my joy for you I will relay
fill my tray you know the drill
full of colour and so very gay
keep me happy so I won't stray

I had a rooster , so grand
a fine tail of colourful feathers
a bright red comb on his head
how that bird could strut
To see him you'd think
no you would know
the king of the barn
for sure he was
He'd dig up some worms
then call his girls
they'd come a-running
to share in the treat
o h boy, could he crow
his voice ringing out
from dawn to dusk
letting every one know
What time of day
his chicks so cute
they followed his lead
what a din made my ears ring
He ruled his roost
chased off his foes
until sadly one day
he passed away
Now his sons
take his place
on the barn fence
and life carries on
