A Wonderful Woman!

Deserving of more than she will ever see.
Offering everyone she knows, respect and honesty.
Natural and smart she is, for all to admire.
No one will ever be as wonderul as you to desire.
Always so pretty, charming, and ever so true.
! God made a special woman in you.

EYES.

What's in a face, expressions
That give other's impressions
Some shallow, without fact
Compare beauty, others lack

Child's innocence, skin so fine
Elderly face, etched-and-lined
Eyes, that can mirror the soul
Lighting a face, make it whole

Contact with eyes , can be rare
Or hide behind, the fall of hair
Do we probe, to learn more
What's hidden, in-human-core.

We can wait, let time explain
Instead of tears, fall like rain
Give and take, the only way
Experience, to sharing days

It doesn't matter

These two broken pieces now beat apart from each other
Allowing me to feel twice the lust for my brand new lover
Life was grand and great, until she too just walked out my door
My heart broke again, though now the two pieces had become four

I cannot explain what I felt, other than misery, loss and denial
People would often say to me, Hey Pat, where is your cheeky smile?
So now the four pieces still beat though the breaks will never mend
In saying this I met a girl whom swore she’d love me to the end

I found the strength to try again and to pull my heart back together
it was not all that easy in the beginning though I longed for her forever
We were not to get there; she said she found love with another man
I know I had done what I always could for her; yes I did the best I can

From one to two then four my heart is smashed and in tatters
Left alone once again a broken mess, not now that it matters
I became too scared to love and care, protecting myself from me
Until the day when you came along and just wanted me to see

Hey girl your love was wasted on me, as I refused to open my heart
and I didn’t care if you stayed or went, I refuse to accept my part
Now loneliness has captured me and keeps me away from you
Though I will admit there are some days when I do feel a little blue

Sorry, alone, decrepit, I know when my time comes I will surely die alone
I do not know if I envy me or take pity on the man I have become
One thing I do know for sure, no matter how or when my life may end
Though my hearts been broken many times I managed to meet you, my friend..

Time With A Friend

You showed up around 11 and said we would eat lunch
It took till 1:30 and I wanted to punch
You in the face but I was too starving to try
Every time we get together I want to cry
You have a fancy car and a TV too
A hundred and one gadgets and your own Youtube
But it's always something is off and not quite right
Your employee called in and now you will work into the night
I'm driving your car to my place so you
Can get another 40 minutes off work real soon
When will you come and get your car, only heaven knows
It's no wonder everyone you know want to go to blows
For all the crazy @$%& you constantly do
That affect everyone around you and makes them feel like dodo
But I really thank you for the food, ice cream, and pop at Freddy's
But the craziness of you makes me want to sneeze
It's been since early November since we last spent some time
When will it be again
I just hope you don't get arrested for a crime!

About this poem:
I had this crazy friend in my life for about 35 years now. I've had a lot of fun with him, I just wish he would get his act together, but still I appreciate what time I can see him, for the very little it has been for the last 28 years.

Thank You For The Memories

Thank you my friend for the lovely memories
That i now choose to fondly embrace
I sincerely wish you every happiness in life and would love to see it etched upon your face.

I hope for you life will be sufficiently kind

Whilst you tred your destined path
May you dwell in peace and be blessed with the love your heart truly desires

As my wish for you is that you will soon, both become alligned.

Being a fool

Well my love here's the rift
that lies between
It matters not what one may dream
Nor what another may convey
You have your own perception and way

No word or thought will change
or shake your temple built upon
the foundation you lay

Many fools may wish to stay
seeking your audience in their
peculiar dismay

Hence, it only empowers you
to push them away or to choose
what you want to convey

Overall, wisdom dictates to all concerned
love without pain
is love that never learns

Perception and knowledge are two different things
for one guesses the tone of how a message rings
The other has no need to assume what is truth
for it already knows how the bird sings

Nevertheless the fool continues his path to knowledge
blundering along in his own college
Yet are not fools allowed to dream or love or feel
for anyone without being a fool?

About this poem:
This is written by a very good friend of mine.

I thought it's very interestingly beautiful and I'd love to share it.

I'm learning so much from this friend and I know I'm blessed to swim in his world.

Just for you

If i could catch a rainbow i would do it just for you
And share with you it's beauty on the days your feeling blue
If i could build a mountain you could call your very own
A plcae to find serenity a place to be alone
If i could take your troubles i'd toss them in the sea
But all these things i'm finding are impossible for me
I cannot build a mountain or catch a rainbow fair
But let me be what i know best, a friend who's always there :) xx

FRIENDS

The term 'Friend' recklessly used no doubt
call one 'friend' you know NOTHING about
True Blue Friends extremely rare if not extinct
agree or don't just wanna make you think

Not shocked that most possess gullible mentality
believing you have many friends isn't reality
Acquaintances or buddies much more reasonable
perpetual jealousy makes true friends less feasible

A morally defunct world negates trusting completely
BEST FRIENDS deceive you more discreetly
many so-called 'friends' are cunningly malicious
don't be blind there's reason to be suspicious

Two-Faced 'friends' are part of your everyday
that's a sad fact I can definitively convey
Vast experience validates my every word
truly clueless if you dismiss this as absurd

Witnessing "friends" stab "friends" sickens me
'friend' requires absolute 'trust' that can't be
When told "My Best Friend" did me wrong
I grin knowing it would happen all along

A true friend...

A true friend...
-Accepts you as you are
-believes in you
-calls you only to say "hello"
-doesn't give up with you
-admires all sides of your personality
-forgives your mistakes
-helps you
-encourages you to try it again
-makes a difference in your life
-says nice things about you
-offers his/her support
-understands you
-tells you the truth
-never judges you
-explains things you don't understand
-walks by your side
-calms down your fears
-shouts if necessary, if you don't want to listen
-raises you spirit.

Snowman

Snowflakes fall down
They don't make a sound
Quietly they bring winter into view

Every snowflake falling from the sky
Have always had a plan and as hard as they try
They need someone to build a snowman

Kids put on winter clothes and hurry outside
With happy smiles to share a snowball fight
And everybody knows with all that snow in sight

They've got to lend a hand
For as hard as snowflakes try
They need someone to build a snowman
