Dad's Birthday

I just spent about 48 bucks on some fake flowers for the top of your tombstone
I gave you 100 bucks back in 2006 when I worked for Americold
A job you helped me to get
I didn't like that job much
But it was better than Lactalis
Now you have been away for one year and nine months
What have you been doing?
A lot of fishing, trapping, napping, eating out, ginseng and morel hunting
Spending time with your dad and your step dad
I know you didn't like it where you were
I didn't like you being there either
Unable to move and do all the things that brought you joy
Away from your grand kids and your home where you had privacy
I posted pics of you on facebook of you doing all the things you enjoyed
Happy 85 Birthday
And
I miss you a lot!

what leads may fallow

Blast the basic primitive notion

to conform to the norm
or sware by another's devotion.

A brick placed against the same

In order to wall off trouble
will only in time be lost in the rubble.

So pay little heed to the dominant suggestion

when interference with in

leads your heart into question

when the common embrace

seems as one of oppression

You have a will to weild

In the right of your own choosing

And if so compelled

To choose such a path

You find in choice of persuing.

And knowing damn well
On who's account will be held

If your choice ends

by chance of you losing.

But then again

by that same choice you may win

The results of it all will only depend

Not by opinions of others

But what feelings are felt

That you alone will feel at the end

Weaver Of Words

Wordsmith and poets, weave-sew
Phrases-words, kneaded like dough
Mixed together, eased into verse
Poetry-descriptive, kind not a curse

Lyrics of songs, can't control fate
Lighthearted banter, can act as bait
Strung together, a storyline unfolds
Whatever the subject, gentle or bold

Words lead to a journey, possible delight
Encouraging followers, with hidden insights
As a patchwork quilt, tells those who know
Where fabric came from, the dressmaker sews

Memories, reminders from a former time of life
Gift giving pleasure, brings happiness not strife
Poets can tell a story, as song lyrics can weave
Dreams of hope and pleasure, joy another receives

So smile when you read, or sing a song for pleasure
Maybe it holds special words, you can treasure
From back in time, unlocking memories past
Triggering the mind, so special thoughts last

Written words so special, to memorize over time.
Woven by the wordsmith, to retain in the mind
Released into a moments, unlocking-images-signs
Yet all they really are, words strung to form a line.

The Midday Rain

It was nice to see the midday rain
I got my guitar and I began to sing
Just a little song about the midday rain

I felt safe on the porch
Which was covered with tin
The midday rain helped the music to blend

And then came the wind and the chimes were right on cue
The midday rain gave all this to me
And now I give it to you

Although the words were just a few and the rain is coming to an end
You'll remember chimes my guitar midday rain and me
And you were invited to and we spent time on a porch covered with tin

Man's heart

The heart of man is very much like the sea.

It has its storms.
It has its tides.

And in its depth it has its pearls too.

Somewhere in Paradise

On this lonely island out to sea
This love is an ocean wider
Then waits for me waits for me
And here I am I’m flying over you

Oh, my dear love so hungered
So many years away and forgotten
And how slowly time goes by
And time can mean so much

Where were you when I needed
To take a break and open my arms
When the lonely rivers sighed
Then waits for me waits for me

Only waiting for your touch
When I felt so numb for so long
What waits for me waits over the sea
So far away we can both agree

SOFTLY SOFTLY....

Delicate merge, of pinks and blues
over a sky, with beautiful rosy hues
As a baby's quilt, gentle pastels fade
Awe inspiring moments, nature made

As night-time eases, to overtake
Day time, as the sunshine makes,
Hasty retreat, allowing the night
To take its place, dark from bright

Gentle shades, must soon disappear
Spring twilight, in peace without fear
Preparing all, for the summer to come
Time for cooler nights, from summer... run....

I'm seriously silly

The planets shift
And I'm on deck
Opened my mail
Nothin but checks!

I've given up
All sense of fear
That's all played out
No purpose here

Prosperity
She's comin for me
Prosperity
Has been stalkin me

Holy wow
Cash in my hand
Next thing I know
I've bought some land

So here I go
I'm off-grid, livin
Organic food
It's got me spinnin

Prosperity
She's comin for me
Prosperity
Has been stalkin me

This is cool
I'm lovin life
Oh my lord
I'm my soulmate's wife

Abundance abounds
Everywhere
We split our wealth
Cuz we love to share

Prosperity
She's comin for me
Prosperity
Has been stalkin me

See energy flows
Where attention goes
And this is how
My money grows

Raised our vibe
Now it's all good
Harmonious tribe
As we all should

Prosperity
She's comin for me
Prosperity
Has been stalkin me

Prosperity
Caught up with me
Cuz Prosperity
Is MY energy

GIFTS FROM NATURE....

Tiny birds eggs, speckled-opaque
Australian opals, natural gems make
Golden honey to sticky toffee, glows
Gum-topaz, as sun worshippers know

Beauty unique, nature develops-grows
Like glistening white, flakes of snow
Ice, diamonds and crystal shine
Gold-rosy hues, the sunset signs

Some see beauty, in thunder skies
Shaking heavens, as a giants sighs
Followed by rainbows, giver of hope
Natural ways, that help us cope

Some like peaceful country scenes
Others seek ocean, supreme and serene
Or head for bright lights, city sounds
Searching their peace, wherever found

Experience from life, pleases their soul
Seeking within, to make themselves whole
No real rules, can make that special day
You find your path, to find your own way......

Falling From Grace

Sit no longer on high pedestal
you once thought you were
No longer idols or instructor
Nor wanted as provider or protector

Betrayed by hubris that blinds you
brutality retribution oppression
Your words of respect and Duty
replaced by venomous false accusations

Play with malevolent resentment
In a game of political chess
Veiled in duplicity and lies
Your motives are all now suspect

About this poem:
Another poem/Song from the Quill of my D&D alter Ego Allwyn Marcher
This one is an attack on an Order of holy of knights who abandon the Vows they made in order to gain political power,
The time Allwyn wrote this and started to "perform" it on the streets of Cordor This order was attacking and killing any who dared speak out against their crimes, On the basis of Were the good guy so if you don't support us you must be the bad guys
It was a Fun time Role Playing an annoying Bard
