Raise up - Wake up

The time has come
No, you can't be taken
The dawn is here
At last, awaken.

Raise your vibe and manifest
The reality that serves you best
Elevate meditate, let go of fear
It's time is over; no purpose here

Empower thee, and take a stand
The spiritual war, is now at hand
Warrior spirit, I invoke in thee
That you claim your birth right...
To be FREE!

Neither

She said no.
The whys do not matter.
Neither do I.
We are not together.
Neither Shakespeare
nor Schroedinger's Cat
can change her mind.
Neither can I.
She is beautiful.
I am alone.

~just church~

My God, why's it so
As one year has passed by
Nothing new
Lot's of old, my reason is why!

What do they think
Why do they, impose
Brass in full clang
From the pew's they arose.

As the man pulls the rope
Over treetop, sound goe's
The call to the people
A gathering of soul.

Yet my grass has been tread
With like minded folk
Who take my concern
In their stride battered, joke.

May I please have your address
So upon I may park
A lot full of cars
They leave lines in full mark.

My God for a year
I've asked with a smile
Yellow tape, is up
Short in feet, not a mile.

I'm not real sure
Why you never complied
Your Priest asked you twice
While I only advised.

Perhaps you feel just
In your thought you display
Immunity in life

~Hmmmm, is that a learned way!?~

About this poem:
Sharing a situation that I have been dealing with for over a year on my property, I have had to put up yellow tape barricades across the front of my property to stop the church congregation from parking on my property. Now they are understanding where I,m coming from after asking in person, leaving notes and the Priest asking not to park on my front lawn, what finally got their attention was the yellow tape.

John's mighty hands

Down 'pon the riverside
where the gentle rhythms flow
John's dunkin' 'em for the baptisms
and all the folks dressed in whites
is smiling and hawing
'cos John, he bein' old school
puts them in real good
just like Father Cleetus
used to do with bible in one hand
and other hand straight up in the air
a lightning rod for God
be that man
for a soul caint resist
a little saving
in these parts
as the rains came down
to wash the sinners
and me and Leroy
made for shelter
But John he got his eye in
and calls unto me
for never he seen a soul
more'n need of releasin'
from the evils that a man do
than this 'un
And little Leroy's laughin'
from the bank
but I'm waist in
and John opens the good book
and says
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. Psalm 1:1
Was you mocking me from the banks son?
You and that good for nuttin' sinner Leroy
Take a gulp of the good water son
And down I go
heavin' and howling
in the mighty hands of John
while on the bank
the sisters are singing
Awake my soul
and the thunder cracked
and day became night
and just as sure
the evil done left me
and a soul
that had withered
to a stick
was replenished
so surely
and John's mighty hands
done lift me from the river
and unto me he says
All flesh will see the salvation of God Luke 3:6

Fresh Start

A hug and a warm embrace
Still searching far far away
Journey into our past
We make our own time
Over the winter day
We were once so close
Near to the fire burning
Tearing us away from other
My tears still burning
In my sleep I’m turning
Out there on the ice
One side keeps learning
On the other side somehow
Still my heart is yearning
Set it free and apart
See it free falling now
Don’t leave me alone
Pull me closer to your heart
I won’t drift away from you
Looking for a fresh start
A clean break away soon
Into our own time follows

~ "Mi" Lady I'll be yours ~

After sixteen full moon's, gettin from the forest what's needed day ta day. In ma arms you be safe from the lurk of cast shadow. I've a eighteen hand horse an a mirrored sharp sword. We've both settled lives alone far long. One day i'll ask for your hand to hold mine. The night tha moon cast light on the land, my knee wet an soiled kissin your hand. Our breath will take light as our hearts beat as one. Sixteen moon's away our live's have begun. I'll swipe the forest as my sword claims our home~

~empty pillows~

~yet~

letters are random afloat on the page
making them stick with meaning of sense
tolerant bright
segmented thoughts
collaborative keystrokes
dead pillow fought

them times when the paper the mind and the pen
will lead one a-stray from no start to no end

Cotton Candy Land

How will it be
What will we say
Will we go around in circles filling up the day

Life was so good with cotton candy and clowns
And a ferris wheel was the only place
Where we noticed the ups and downs

A black and white tv sat on a stand
And three networks were enough
To entertain the mind of man

A neighbor would wave or reach to shake your hand
Movies were mostly decent
And there was one where Elvis sang about cotton candy land

I Like the Rain (an original poem from a book of Inspiration that I published in 2016)

It is written that the Lord sends the rain to fall on the ‘just’ and the ‘unjust’. But I like the rain, regardless.
I like the rain because
it cools the earth and makes the world seem clean
again; If
only for
a brief moment.
I like the rain because
It reminds me of the tears
that I shed when the pains of life
overwhelm me, and the joy of the Lord becomes my remedy. I like the rain because there is always a beautiful, brightly-coloured rainbow in its wake that lights up the sky,
and makes me smile with awe. I like the rain because It signals that whether I’m ‘just’ or ‘unjust’,
God still cares for me, provides for me,
loves me,
and needs me
to do His Will.
Thank God for the rain.
