Ladefoss23: i put up my pic they didn't believe me,,so i took it off
I had worse, my patience permanently ran out when a woman kept on permanently banging on about my appearance, my hair colour like it was actually important.
It was then i realised if i removed my picture, the nutters seemed to go elsewhere, or at least stopped contacting me.

jac379: Unless its someone I know from the forums, I've taken to deleting without reading. My profile clearly indicates I'm not interested in cold calling.
almera03: When your bombarded with email starting with, I'm new to this site, and ending in an addy
you may change your thinking
agreed!
I hate when people write something automatic like "hey, I like your profile (they don´t even read it, I´m sure of that. lol) mail me at nononon@blabla.com and we can exchange pics, blabla..."
if they don´t impress me by writing something intelligent in the first message... oh no! I won´t reply. Even if he looked like Johnny Depp. haha

If men send me an email I just delete it especially when they include an email addy. It's obvious to me they haven't read my profile where it says I'm not looking & already in a relationship. They're nothing but bots collecting emails.

and I´ve just received this from a no-pic profile:
"my name is ------ am a single person I saw your profile today in this site(www.connectingsingles.com )and i stopped to take a very good look at it.I want you to know that i will be interested to know you better because you sounded very sweet in your profile and i will like us to become friends and know each other the more. please write me directly to my E-mail address above, (jjjjhh@blabla.com) send me an email today please!"
To all the members--pics aren't always a good gauge, if you ask me. (Some very, very good looking people, men and women, just aren't very photogenic). Again, the movie "Shallow Hal" illustrates how uncool it is to judge by looks. I would say that if the person e-mails is being courteous, then they deserve a reply. It can be generic; it need not be solicitous or have the appearance of giving the cold shoulder. After all, this is called "Connecting Singles" and that member isn't doing wrong by reaching out - it's kind of why this thing exists, isn't it? At least send a friendly note acknowledging receipt of their polite letter. Don't think this is the way to do? Then what the heck are you doing here? Fair question.

Some of the better posters on here have had no pics. I know one lady who is a genuine stunner who never put a pic up because of the attention she got
Women are all the same - liars and hypocrites and this poll proves it!! They're all going like 'oh i don't care about the appearance its the character that counts'.
yeah right nice words, shame none of them actually mean what they say
