Do you honestly think that any one of the congressmen/congresswoman would step up and say: "Because I know so many in my district are suffering, I am going to donate my pay to help my country?" Get real. They are in it for the money, the perks and the ability to screw the little guy.

I just watched Senator McConnell and Harry Reid argue back and forth on the Senate floor. I was so embarrassed that these two people and their cohorts have brought this stalmate almost to the final hour.
I also saw Admiral Mullen address the troops telling them that they may not get they paychecks AND that they have to cut back !!!
I find this preposterous that men and women who have put their life on the line to keep this country free may not get their paychecks and to add insult to injury, they have to cut back on material they use...
