NAKEDMUDPEOPLE: To follow a great skier is frightening......I have skied with people that have the skills of Olympians and boy do they have guts...i feel so like a little troll following them!
I know, I was originally introduce to skiing by the guy who coached the Spanish Olympic team...now that guy could ski...
galrads: Hi, Monte. All's well on the East Coast by now I hope. You are probably right about the shelter idea and maybe even one of the rescue groups could work. However, I have my hearts set on a young Bull Terrier; one with all the original and working plumbing.
Yes, all is well here except it's very windy. So much damage has been left behind and a million people along the east coast are without power. Don't read this.........the weatherman said there's another huge hurricaine coming off Africa but it won't be here for a couple weeks. I didn't say that did I?
You might be surprised to find the Bull Terrier you want. My daughter always gets her dogs from the shelter. She has found a Golden Retriever and two Border Collies. They had all their parts and turned out to be great dogs. Right now she has one of the Border Collies. With so many dogs in shelters and on the verge of being put down, it's shame to not at least check them out. She even went on line to find a shelter that had the Border Collie she has now..
galrads: Hey, Hugrman.... Only $100... is that all they charge for an adoption. Wow, does that Include shots too? Interesting.
My daughter only had to pay around $20 and sometimes the shelter does the shots for free. If you want a Bully, then research for one cause you won't be happy with any other dog and then you'll wind up giving it back to the shelter. Good luck and I hope you find a nice dog for your home to cuddle up with at night..

Thank you, Montecito. Although the timing may not be perfect, I should cease procrastinating and at least begin getting my ducks lined up.... fencing, food, veterinarian services, furniture covers maybe, acquire more general knowledge on the breed, hire a photographer et. al....
bodleing: Hi garlands, half an acre sound plenty for most breeds of dogs I guess, but Bully's thrive on human interaction, they just love to be involved. Lots of info online about the breed, but once you've owned a Bully, no other dog will seem the same.
Thank's Bodeling. Does a Bull Terrier like to ride around in an open convertible? Would they have to be constrained to avoid seeing them jump out of my car? Might seem silly, but when I road travel in the states I usually have the top down; weather permitting.
I dunno about a perfect day but I once had a perfect weekend. I was dating a girl in Sydney Australia in 1990. She told me one of her fantasy's was to have me in her bed for the entire weekend and that I was only allowed to leave the bed to go to the bathroom. I agreed after I had negeotiated with her for food, beer and BJ's which she dutifully supplied. I was tired on the Monday but it was my perfect 2 and a half days.
