A hard question really to which I voted I don't know. As with so many things in life.....I really don't know, but I am always open to learning............Is that why we are here ?
As a by note when we consider words. The OPs question is too easy and too hard for my old brain, but I do know. Before Shakespeare the English language was really only a few hundred words. After Shakspeare the number of words became thousands.............

As I see you there now with a womanly perspective. I believe it is neither Man or Woman. The old Celtic ways reveered the Femminine way more than we think of it today. (As I think did so many cultures).
