I like dogs the best but I was surprised at how much personality my daughters hamster had. She would escape from her habitrail regularly and when she got tired of roaming around would come stand at my feet with her arms outstretched like a child so I would pick her up and put her back.

OMG!! Jillll how cute is that?!!
I love my dogs we have 11 right now, they are small, six of them are very little almost five week old puppies. I have a 3 pound yorkie and the rest are between 10 and 18 pounds. The babies are so dang cute I just love them. They are all starting to play, but very good little puppies and are not noisy at all. They have a large puppy pen in our kitchen.
<---- none of my dogs do that, they are lazy like the two cats...sleep all day and night.

What kind of dogs are the puppies? I love puppies! We only have two dogs now and one has serious separation anxiety and still follows me everywhere...even to the bathroom. The other one will play ball by herself when there is no one to play with her. She will put the ball in her mouth, then toss it and go run after it. Too funny.

Aww has to play by herself, that is sad. Does she guilt you into playing with her?
My babies are 3/4 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and 1/4 Japanese Chin Spaniel. They will be small. They are darling. I will post some pictures.

We had hamsters during my second marriage, but sadly we couldn't keep them alive. Heck, we couldn't even keep fish alive, let alone goldfish, which are supposed to be pretty hardy. But, at least I can keep cats and dogs alive, eh, more or less. Two woof woofs and nine meows.

The cats follow me around, expecially my Billy Ray. He follows me like a dog. And whenever anyone tries to use the bathroom, in they go. There can be six or seven cats at a time in there, sometimes eight. It's a circus trying to use the bathroom! And they all want to be petted at once.
Jillll: Yes...I found some ping pong balls today and were throwing them for the dogs today.
My dogs never played with balls at all. Speaking of ping pong balls, I would throw one in the bathtub for the cat...very amusing..at least to me!!
Okay I put three pix up of the babies and mommy Sofie on my profile because I never can get anything on here. Five look like dad and Charlie is the only one that is tri-colored (black, brown and white) like mommy. Charlie was the last to be born and she wouldn't have anything to do with him and kept kicking him out of the heard! I guess cuz he looked different. After putting him back in there three times she finally accepted him, he was very small and very cold.
Thanks Jill, I just love them to pieces!! They are of a breed (King Charles) that is very loving too. Don't know much about the Japanese Chin side, as our mommy Sofie is just half and half, she is an odd one though. Sweet though even if she's weird!
I had the exact same photo with my old boxer Dempsey! I had to take a double-look!! If I ever figure out how to post photos (photobucket - I know ) then I will add his 'almost' look-alike photo.
