Ahh... but you conveniently hide what you imply you know.
Father confessor? confused

Yet once again I bow to your perennial obtuseness.

It's your choice, or should be.

I only want opinions conversing

Where I live, no reason not too, but of course there are bad guys among them, no work site of a noticeable size without some bad ones.

GUZMAN1: Why not gas chambers? After that, we could deny the facts.

The point is I would want people to experience the fact of a lawless society with no police to get a little perspective on just how good they have it now.

drgroovetone: you mean prisons? I think someone already thought of that

Yes it would have walls like a prison.. or a house. But in reality it would be the complete opposite of a prison; an uncontrolled and lawless environment with no authorities.

I know way too many and have seen them in action way to much... to trust them. They are people like all the rest of us... and there are lots of ALL KINDS of wacky people in this world. For the most part...many of them have control issues.

Well, a lawless society with lawless policemen is worse.

Conrad73: splendid Future you're proposing!

It's a splendid world we've inherited.

The ruthless greed and pettiness of your individualism combining with the naivety and egalitarian moral posturing of the hippy generation - what we call neo-Liberalism - has proved to be a complete disaster.

I heard on a local news station last night about a man who was just sitting in his car on his own property and the police showed up asking for his ID.

Do I trust the police to solve my problems.Nope.

wave Finally a reasonable opinion.

I felt like if I was being analyzed psicho politically. I'll have to ask my psychiatrist if he also thinks I'm a hippy.

wave Hi Guzman1,It's a pretty sad state of affairs when you can't even trust your own police.

I don't like not being able to trust them but it's the bad ones who reflect on their own.

One of my older brothers was a police officer but he quit cause he didn't like what was going on within his own department.

I don't expect much from them, although I think that life would be much more insecure without them.

It's not the job of the police to solve your "problems".

Their job is to serve and protect the public even from their own police department. Their job is to enforce the laws not to solve your "problems".

As I said before, there are bad cops everywhere. If a cop commits a crime he cannot be convicted until he is indicted by the Grand Jury. You can put him in handcuffs, throw him in jail, but until you put him in a courtroom before the Grand Jury he is only accused of the crime.

One bad apple does not make a bad apple pie.

"Serve" the public is not exactly what they do. Protect, ok, but this was what I meant when wrote "solve your problems".
