kennn: I had to chuckle, when Jacko was young the only this he ever chewed up was my new slippers. I gave him good heck and he never chewed anything again.
She never chewed, but when Bennet passed away, my slippers became prime target, and sometimes I was wearing them at the time. Now I have Rocky as well, she has stopped chewing.

She was letting you know how much she missed Bennet. My daughter has just moved across country and her dog and Jacko are best Buds.I can tell by his actions quite often that he is missing his friend.

She has a new buddy now and my feet are safe once more..
Having said that, I don't have anything against purebreeds. Except that they often have genetic problems of one sort or another. Too much breeding for particular physical characteristics.
This is Douina, my sweetheart. A cavalier-king-Charles. She's really smart. She can even understand TV images. If a dog appears, even in the background, she recognizes it right away.

I grew up with a border collie,so I'm definitely partial to them, very smart, little too smart actually,I'd call him to come at times, and he'd come,if he felt like it,he'd make up his own mind,if he didn't want to,he simply wouldn't.
Extremely energetic though,I wouldn't get a border collie again unless I lived on sizable property,or had all the time in the world to walk them.
Catibrae: Nope, that is what is left of my slipper....
omg, I can see it now. So do you try to just give her a special one to chew on or do you keep the others put away? Neither of mine chewed on our shoes but they did chew on the treats we got them. But like I said, very Lovely indeed. Miss mine very much.

Its a special one.....just for her. She has never touched anything else, so I let her have it, it seemed to take her mind of Bennett not being there.
