I read the book he wrote while in Spandau prison( there was only one other person in there in all those years...Rudolph Hess). He was a brilliant architect, and organiser for minister of arms. He was in the inner circle, and knew of the final solution, (though he downplayed it in the book). Twenty years in prison does seem light in view of all this.
Was he a good Architect? In my opinion of personal taste, yes. It would certainly be interesting if we judged the professional abilities of all the people who have contributed to the advancement of arts, technology, medicine and science by their personal morals or lifestyles.

I was PA to a renown architect some years ago and, whilst I have no technically qualified eye, some of it does rub of on you. However, I know what I like......
Clearly, many of his projects were imposing, and were meant to be. I do have a liking for his work on the New Reich Chancellory but then I have a fondness for minimisalism and cleanly defined lines. It puts me in mind of some of the work Frank Lloyd Wright demonstrated....

i woulnt compare Frank Lloyd with Speer.they r different.Some of Franks works r good.But i dont get exited by his works,like i get exited with Speers Great Hall.
