Early on, I almost met with two, but it didn't pan out. I've had several phone conversations with members, but about two years ago, I decided to just message and comment on the forums and blogs, don't want a relationship to interfere with this great site that I've found, but my heart still slips-up from time to time. I still think it's neat, how members have managed to turn these forums into chat rooms.

I have met two in person, one in Cyprus, one in Finland.
Prapiroon: True. But your assuming wrongly that they will form a negative opinion of him just because you may have already done so. You are also trying to talk down to him and to patronise him ? Are you a school teacher perhaps who teaches small boys ?
People, regardless of gender, form opinions of others by observing how others conduct themselves in public. and how they interact with others. This is not a patronizing statement. This is not talking down to anyone. This is common knowledge not specific to teachers of boy schools. End of discussion.

I've met a fair few people over the years. I've been to a few CS events, here in the UK and overseas.
I have made many friends though I have met one or two strange ones. One woman who seemed to be a friend turned out to be a massive free-loader, without doubt. Another woman I met was the most spiteful, acidic person who clearly had issues, and there was one another that, sadly, was not as sincere as he made out. Though, to be fair, not everyone is going to be each person's liking.
Other than that, I have met a stack of wonderful people from all over the world and I have enjoyed their company immensely. Many I still keep in touch with.
As for relationships, there was one chap who I met and it transpired he was still married and very much with his wife (and children) and another that I almost met. Close shave, but thank God, didn't happen.... he was a complete weirdo!
Ya see, there's a complete mix here.... and everywhere. I love the diversity, its refreshing.
You just sometimes have to have your wits about you but you must be receptive to new opportunities that come your way....

I haven't met anybody from CS, but I could think of joining a CS-get-together happening or meeting one day. I think it's great people actually do get together through CS (and even get married)!

I was about 3 steps away from getting Married to one, But Maybe it was not supposed to be! So I am OK with that!
There are a few friends here that I'd love to meet sometime. Probably would need to win a lottery to do all that traveling though.

Yes One was from another country, and it is government forced marriage, after a 90 day Visa or they deport them, so Many Lessons learned here..
