Am off to nod land now...good night all Its been fun as always
It's not important to me that he can cook BUT it is nice to know that he could cook a meal for himself in case I was sick or just didn't feel like cooking
But its no fun cooking up a storm and your partner is fussy. For instance... no meat with bones, no chicken with skin, no green vegies, no sweet deserts etc...

Very true!! I enjoy cooking for a partner and they will bloody well eat what I cook
I would go about it differently. I would cook what my partner prefers no matter how borring.. or over and over again but then I will treat myself to a great meal at a restaurant on his expense obviously

Freedomofspeech9: Yes a mouth watering subject to consider Junk food or a home cooked meal yes, no maybe which of the 5 choices above will you choose
A lot of young girls can't cook, even the ones that bake cakes all the time now that feminism's gone out of fashion still often can't put a basic meal together, and so I'm endlessly forgiving women for their lack of culinary skills.
What's important is that she'll learn, and she will if she knows what's good for her.

For me, not really. I don't eat any cooked food. I am a raw vegan. I eat only fruits for breakfast, raw veggies for lunch and dinner and nuts for snack. But I know how to cook tho. My mother made me learn how to cook in my early teens.

If she can't cook, or perhaps even boil water without burning it, then surely, she absolutely have some compensating talent(s) that makes it worth while to have her around, giving her shelter, pod, etc. Sometimes it would be nice to come home and not have to cook a meal or hear the other one barking about having nothing to eat because I'm just too tired to fix anything other than ritz crackers, peanut butter and jam, or Kraft dinner with tuna or sardines; perhaps sausages...or pizza with chicken on it...Having some 'compensating' talent, just may inspire me to always cook up something, like Chateaubriand, legumes aver Burgundy, rouge....

I prefer a home cooked meal without a doubt, I don´t like junk food at all...is boring, therefore, the woman who knows how to cook will conquer my heart. I also have some culinary knowledge to offer.
I like to do most of the cooking and when I've been in a relationship with some that likes to cook as much as I do, we both end-up in the kitchen preparing food and meals seem to be ready in no time, like having our own fast food restaurant crew.
