It feels good to share kindness and do something for someone that has no idea...I love to do things for special people in my life.. but I have done things for strangers also.. but they never know exactly who or why...I just get those moments that I share a good deed..

Doing things like this is far more rewarding in every way than the financial reward could ever be. I was part of a renovation for a young couple that lost everything and were starting over and I volunteered to do the kitchen and bathroom for them. To this day the young couple have no idea who installed all their kitchen and bath cabinets and ceramic tile. The parents let me in on a long weekend while they were away so I could do the installations but I had the parents promise me that they would never tell them who did it for them. I knew the parents quite well after doing some work for them a few years earlier. It still stands out in my life as one of the most important jobs I have ever done.

I get a buzz out of helping a friend or a simple kindness to someone, whether cheering someone up with a cake or helping out with clothing and toiletries when a couple lost everything in a fire.
I would like to believe in karma, "what goes around, comes around" kind of thing. I'm pleased that my children have grown up with the same mantra, and I get a bigger buzz when they do something nice for someone, not for their own benefit or monetary gain.
Too many people only look after themselves and have no caring in their soul for others, they are the losers.
