Just from a women's angle around the long hair..
I like my hair sort of longish... and all of my colleagues say... NOOO as you get older you need to cut it short..
Well, I don't know if any of you will agree, but if I look at an older woman, with really short hair...
all I see first... is the wrinkles...
so for that reason, ( not saying I have a ton of wrinkles, but def have some smile lines) I prefer to keep mine longish..

Obstinance_Works: So long as it's at least shoulder length then she's in the feminine ballpark. Occasionally she can still look good with a pixie cut but I'll never understand these women - remember how hot Miley Cyrus used to be? Why would she do that to herself? - it's like me getting a brand new car and keying up the side of it.
I actually blame the number of gay men in the fashion and beauty industry. It's like they get these pretty, feminine women infront of them and think to themselves 'how can I do my utmost to make her look like a prepubescent boy?' You go in clothes stores and the girl models on the walls, and not to say they're unattractive, but they have more-chiseled faces and are starved down to this boyish/unwomanly body shape.

I had short hair for long periods of time and it simply suited me and my type at that time. I'm letting it grow again past my shoulders and it has the simple side effect of not everyone knowing at first glance that I'm not a foreigner (at least until I start talking).
