Well it looks like I was wrong and it was quite obvious as Ob said.

I'll have to work on my common sense as well as my intelligence.

Next blog.... Are you mentally ill?

RainComeShine: Then what would be the point of most polls on here?

The comment that always gets me is 'I'm honest' which is just what the most dishonest person would say.

Oh dear, honesty is not a profession.

I'll reveal my suspicion at the end of the poll as it will, of course, be the one with the most votes.

Everything I say is false......and so begins the paradox!

I do have about 10 pots with flowers and herbs for cooking, then yes I am a gardener and a good one, why?

Are you hiring one?

I come from a rural background and still live in the country....it is not only the means to feed the world, but provides habitat for wildlife, enhances and protects the watershed, allows for recreational pursuits for those in the city, and the list goes on....but it is far from being an "easy" way of life, and I admire those who have chosen this path. To put forth assistance and guidance from a different perspective to create a sustainability of the non-urban landbase is to be admired.

I do not work for hourly rates, I do work on proposals but they are way larger than 10 pots.

Thank you!

Research was my first job and later I did find my path. I get to work with a great diversity of people, rich and poor and on so many subjects.

I used to belog to a firm (legally still do for my own benefit)and I was in charge of every new proposal and that was fascinating because I had to do reaserach on the markets, on the technical factors, on the trainning of the people, importing equipment, developing new process, getting patents, etc...

Once I remember a small project for women doing construction "blocks" and another for men for a "Tortillería" ( to make tortillas)laugh

What about yours, besides flying and protecting natural resources.

Wow! It sounds intriguing!

Mine has been a varied career regarding natural resources,....but lately,....protection of life, infrastructure and resource has been all-consuming. There is a pert of me that truly understands the "need" for fire in a forest ecosystem,...it pays the bills and lets me garden and cook and visit such places as the Cave of Swords in Mexico (before the government wisely closed it! Yup, I am also a rockhound and nature nut!) wink I do, however, in the off-season, work with both rural and urban interfaces as a Prevention Officer.

Have you been to Naica?

It is a private property and it is not closed but the access is very limited. A friend of mine works for the company that owns it yet I have never gotten the time to go, I should before they flood it.

Foods can be very fashionable but at the moment I'm researching for for new ideas for the summer menus. Mexican & Thai foods are popular in London but to answer your question, I enjoy all food when executed correctly as long as the flavours aren't over complicated.

Ccincy: There are scammers everywhere not just on this site.Obviously people can be scammed in real life too.

I've got most of the world blocked out on here anyway. If we all think about it that governments know more about their citizens then we think so I'm not to awfully worried about a scammer.I know of several people on this site who have complained about being approached by scammers and have posted several threads topics regarding scammers but in the almost 5 yrs I've been here I've never had that experience. So I suppose I'm one of the lucky ones.

*Takes the lucky Irish leaf from Ccincy's pocket* "Yup, that's why"

Obstinance_Works: This logic will be more accurate than the poll results. I see there are already thrice as many women working in finance as there are men according to that result. Hm. Self-reporting is dubious at the best of times and it's an outright enemy of the truth when you're asking insecure people with glass egos certain to lie.

Do you have anybody in particular in mind with that assertion or are you wildly generalizing? I have a masters degree in business with a concentration in finance. I'm quite proud of it. It's only people with fragile egos who don't believe that they can be proud of their achievements that lie or massage the truth.

Food has to fit the people's taste.

Mexican food is one of the best in the world yet it lacks elegance but it is packed with lots of flavor.

I have always said: had the french invaded Mexico(not that I wanted it Mexico to be invaded)we would have the best cuisine in the world!

this would not fly in my world, but then my business does not involve
lying, just hard facts and skills that cannot be massaged or twirled around,

but finance says it all,

This poll was never meant to be about people competing with their levels of achievement but simply to see if there was an overwhelming type on CS and now it appears that we are a healthy cross section of the public.

I would end the poll here if I knew how.

Does anyone know how?

Don't worry about it. There has been no harm done and it will "disappear" in time. wine
