rebel2: Don't worry about it. There has been no harm done and it will "disappear" in time.

And then be resurrected 5 years later again, out of boredom! laugh

It's only people with fragile egos who don't believe that they can be proud of their achievements that lie or massage the truth.

this would not fly in my world, but then my business does not involve
lying, just hard facts and skills that cannot be massaged or twirled around,

but finance says it all,

P

That is an idea peculiar to Americans.

Here, if somebody is overtly proud of their achievements, it is frowned upon.

That can be both good and bad.

It could be seen as an impediment to success, but it also means that those who have found success remain very grounded, or they would be brought down to earth very quickly!

That's how it's been here in England but now that competitive, stab you in the back stuff is becoming virulent here too.

RainComeShine: I have a theory that most on here are prominently of one profession and it would be interesting to know if I'm right.

I agree. In the 10 years or so that I've been on CS off and on, this is the first time that I said it.

Why did I say it? Because OW goated me, implying that those who said finance are liars. I took what he wrote as a challenge and I'm sort of tired of his antics. If he wants to challenge me on the field of finance, bring it on.
