Da_Moose: So correct my fellow Canuck beauty! (Okay,,...fellow Canuck, as in you.... beauty, as in you, not me, cuz I ain't no beauty,....ya know what I mean! Dang,...I talk too much! Hugs!)
Da_Moose: Great poll Rain! Thanks for letting me "toot my horn" a bit! To be honest,...I am actually scared every single day I go to work,....and to have even ANYBODY ask and say thank you,....well,...it helps me crawl onboard each and every day! Just too bad I wasn't on your list~ ROFLMAO!~
Your video reminds me of my favourite dvd which has gone missing. 'Murphy's War'
Obstinance_Works: Rain is asking which profession you're in, not what level you're at. I don't think it's about money.I would say CS should lean towards male dominated and female dominated professions where men and women do not meet through work. I notice many primary(elementary)school teachers are on dating sites. And the forums should be skewed towards the white collar.
So professions who like the sound of their own voices you think?
I think my suspicions are fast being proved wrong.
My jobs from 12years old are. 1. Building worker + Night school 2. Plumber.+ Night school 3. Office typist. 4. Plumber again 5. Electrician. 6. Restaurant and rooms to let owner. 7. Electrician again.+ University student. 8. Electrical contractor. 9. Panel electrical wireman 10.-Retired + Volunteer tourist guide.
RainComeShine: I have a theory that most on here are prominently of one profession and it would be interesting to know if I'm right.
I was an environmental science freak in in ambient air quality for a long long time until U.S.EPA began promoting and diverting resources for climate change controls, instead of focusing on air quality health concerns the U.S. clean air acts promulgated by Congress.
SandraYelitzza2: Why do u wanna know what we all do?? (professionally wise) I... don't think is anybody else's business to know about me I am sure a lot of us don't wanna give u information bout us because we simply don't want to.... Unless someone has an interest in dating u.... And maybe, this is why a lot of guys think women are gold diggers... Here I had a thread bout men calling women gold digger and yet u r trying to find out folks professions?? (No wonder why)
on all threads we have a choice to post or not post...
i would much rather post here where i get to know things about other people rather than if someone is going to nuke someone else...
let alone other meaningless threads that i may have started...
i raised my two daughters working construction my whole life...
i could check other boxes now and even a couple others not there...
one that has allowed me to do some traveling and see other countries...

I have a list similar to the length of yours also over the last 12yrs. When I was a young mum I worked nights putting the jam in doughnuts and packing sticky buns.

That's a strange one. It's a shame they couldn't just add to their research. Both areas are of great importance.

We have the Met Office which covers all aspects of weather and air conditions. They are government run but also sell information to all types of customer worldwide.

sandra....
wanna head over to a religious thread with me
My new best friend is in construction. He lost everything a couple of years ago and now lives in a touring caravan on the edge of a field and beside the sea. He says he's much happier now he's out of the rat race. How I envy him.
He didn't want me to know his situation but it makes absolutely no difference to me.
Another friend often says sh.t happens and so it does as sure as we live and breath.
Da_Moose: Hey Ali! GREAT STUFF! I too was born and raised on a farm! A very honorable profession! I wish you great weather and an excellent harvest this year!
Thanks for such wonderful words for me moose bro , Yea ,Farming is a respected Profession and i love that
RainComeShine: Ha ha, they could have voted Social but I don't think teachers want to be associated with any other profession neither are they commenting.
Maybe I should have lumped them with Estate Agents.
You know I guest as I taught.
You can tell I'm a teacher as I can't spell. I did of course mean JEST.
Well, been into many things, from professional singer(in my youth) to teacher, hotel manager and TV presenter-journalist... Recently opened a Cosmetic surgery and work mainly with medical lasers for treatment of different dermatological problems.

Wordier types who spend more time on a computer anyway, yes. The forum should be more white-collar than the site in general.
And I would also say that the blue-collars on the forum will lean towards the more professional end of blue-collar work - in comparison to the site, not the real world, as dating sites norms are not the same norms as the real world.

What was your suspicion?
This logic will be more accurate than the poll results. I see there are already thrice as many women working in finance as there are men according to that result. Hm. Self-reporting is dubious at the best of times and it's an outright enemy of the truth when you're asking insecure people with glass egos certain to lie.

Then what would be the point of most polls on here?
The comment that always gets me is 'I'm honest' which is just what the most dishonest person would say.
Oh dear, honesty is not a profession.
I'll reveal my suspicion at the end of the poll as it will, of course, be the one with the most votes.
