Okay, that's fine. It was awful to see his leg twisted in the opposite direction. I doubt he will come back for the next Olympics. I think this is the second time he's had that injury.

A horrible injury. I smashed my Patella and my leg was at right angles. Feel sorry for the man.

No. I was 16, just signed pro football forms, and I was riding down a hill going like the clappers and my foot slipped off the pedal, jammed between the road and pedal and that was the result! Was that a sports injury Reb or a bike crash ?
Spent many months in a wheelchair and then years of hard work to get it right.

I seen the cyclists crashing today, that can seriously hurt. And they were all in the medal positions. Can easy happen in cycling unfortunately.

Falling off your bike is not 'fun' in normal times, not to mind the Olympics! yeah there will probably be more injuries, the nature of a lot of sports. On a lighter note, Copacabana beach looks fab, I want to be there!

i know the feeling Reb...had my shoulder smashed up playing football..have a metal plate init now...still hurts like hell cold weather...

Just consider ourselves lucky it happened whilst we were young and got on with life.Mind you, I have broken so many bones since then, including my jaw last year and lost two teeth!

She didn't hit her head. I think she's in worse condition then what reports are saying.
