bohemianjack: No problem when water near fracking is flammable and contaminated air makes people sick?..
You must love the smell of fresh asphalt too..
And general revenue spending for environmental protection anymore in states with Republican legislatures. You know damn well that spending less money for cleaner environment, air and water quality is and has been primarily republican ideology local, state and federal..
The federal EPA was created under a republican president, Richard Nixon. It was enforced and strengthened under the Clean Air act of 1990 by president Bush the senior. I worked EPA in Air programs under presidents Carter through Bush the junior, and EPA program funding was always better, overall, under repiblican administrations.
Earthheart: Its very interesting, that you don't have a problem with fracking shown to cause ground water pollution, with millions of ill people.. But you do have a problem air quality control government funding..
Clean water to drink and clean air to breathe, are both requirements for All Life !
Clean water rules and their enforcement suffer under democrat administrations. One example is how EPA looked the other way knowing problems with water quality sources existed in Flint Michigan.
EPA missions and goals seem to suffer in weird ways under democrats. Right now the administration is more concerned about human caused light pollution than it is effectively finding alternat funding for air programs while coal fiepred power plants shut down.

As I recall Nixon and Geo H W Bush faced an opposition Congress and signed bipartisan legislation..
Having worked in the EPA, you were for a better environment, cleaner air and water, and what about my question on fresh asphalt..
Shinegirl: So many people from other countries think they know how it is here. Live here for a while yourself and you'll see the reality of the situation. Everybody thinks that each individual here has a voice. We have no voice. If we did this Obama Care would of never made it into action.
Rumples, judge away. Rant away, whatever. Better yet, walk a day in my shoes and see how in feel in the end of it. I'm not coming back to this political thread. Don't know why I post in it anyway. Say what you want about me. My "Give a damn" broke this week.
Carry on....
It's the same here, we have a comic type " leader" The main opposition party ruined the country through Serious mismanagement and outright corruption
The smaller parties who were our great hope either Have fallen into line with the ways of the others Mentioned above or are liberal leftists who care More for dodgey minorities and their very Questionable beliefs and ways
The only thing is that they're all puppets of America and Europe and have no real power
Most men aren't men anymore and most women Aren't women the few real ones that are left Need to step up to the mark
