Okay I am not sure how this poll thing works quite yet. i posted a comment and I guess that is not the same as posting on the thread.
I see that high maintenance is ranking pretty high for the men. So I am wondering what do you (men and women) consider high maintenance?

Have you ever encountered those lady profiles where they speak about how much they love taking expensive trips and frequenting shows, restaurants, etc.? That might be one version of "high maintenance" - the financial variation; the other would be emotional: requiring constant emotional "strokes"/attention, and perhaps even obesiance might be another.

My understanding of high maintenance is someone who spends a lot of time and money on their appearance, be it clothes, cosmetics, hair and more radical, cosmetic surgery.

If men are voting against high maintenance for these reasons then I sense a little hypocrisy, for in my limited experience, most men take pride in showing off their partners particularly when they have taken the time and trouble to look beautiful for a night out.

Yup, 'high maintenance' is open to various definitions.

I went for 'overly emotional'. Jeez that's a burdensome thing.

Can't stand too much snivelling...laugh
