I prefer to meet on my home turf if it's a distance relationship. Here, I have a guest room and my dogs, and I'm safer. For a woman to travel to meet a stranger can be very dangerous. I do know of stories from this that would curl your toes and make you think twice.
Here, I'm safe. So, no...for the first meeting with someone long distance, I won't travel to them, they will have to travel here. After that, I'd be willing to go to them next time.

Holds true for the man as well though, and it is safer for him to come to her and he will if he really cares and if otherwise it probably is not worth it anyway then. Adventure is not worth turning up dead or missing, and it happens all the time; I know, I work with investigating missing persons.

how interesting... your working experience has made u negative..if u trust the universe , nothing happens. it is risky for men too..i was onced dragged to tokio by a jap girl who ran a mafia like secret society..but nothing happened to me..it was fun

As to the depth of your question.
Are we talking meeting a person that we have chatted with on the internet?
I do not fall in love over the internet, I talk, I trust.
Then I would make a decision as to whether I would travel.
I did travel, have done, to the same man and am about to again, because we want to spend as much time together as time will afford.
The love in that, has only just begun.
So, my question is this, you state you would travel hours to see the person you love.
Is this a person that you have a relationship with, or one that you have arranged to meet from a website?
If the latter, how do you know you are in love, without having ever met them?
