No, We were not sleeping. We were enjoying one of the best economies in decades. The Democrats started a lot of the trouble back in the nineties with the STUPID idea that mortgage companies should give massive loans to people who could not afford them. They were trying to create another entitlement group who would then become "automatic voters" for the Democratic party. Hmmm, Sounds like welfare to me. The Democrats have always been good at screwing the taxpayers and giving their money to lazy, non-productive people. I don't know how you profess to know what was going on in this country when you don't LIVE here.

Yes, but isn't everyone entitled...
Sorry, I've been in the process of selling my house and I've had several bites thus far from people unqualified to buy. Yet their realtors, lawyers and financial institutions are trying to keep me on the hook as they seek creative ways to put them in my house. I just don't understand why people feel the need to spend beyond their means and why the hell our finincial institutions, politicians and every other bleeding heart is assisting them in reaching failure. Oh, it must be the money they're making from these poor folks. They don't care about the poor folks, all they care about is their friggen commission.
Paulababy20: My personal answer is SUCKS all the way! Im glad I didn't vote for him. The Democrats in Congress have screwed up this country and now they have a President bent on sealing the deal. God help us all....ROMNEY/JINDAHL..OR PALIN/JINDAHL..2012!!!!
zee1ander: Yet under the liberal plan it is easier for those who shouldn't have firearms to get them than it is for the law abiding citizen.
The big difference between us is that you see a firearm as a weapon, I see one as a firearm. This is why I have my doubts that you own one.
Gun Control in the liberal view is the taking of firearms away from law abiding citizens.... Gun Control to me is the ability to hit my target.
The first year that it was illegal to own a firearm in the city limits of San Francisco was the same year they broke their record for murders with guns. Why is this?... because criminals were no longer afraid of being shot by the person they were committing the crime against.
zee
zee, i own a farm....i have to have a rifle! for putting down animals, aswell as controlling feral animals, and yes i have had to use it........
as i said to you before to compare what happens in the states, compared to australia is like comparing apples and oranges....and i am not saying americans should give up thier arms, after all it is in your constitution.......it is quite difficult in australia to get your gun licence, let alone get a gun (legally OR illegally)
you just need to have have a look at the crime stats for shootings here in australia for the years 1995-2008 to see gun control has worked here
of course there is going to be a small element that will get firearms, who shouldnt have them.................therefore you have just agreed with me on the topic i was trying to point out too you

I sold one of my duplexes 3 years ago to someone I knew couldn't afford it.
It's been re-possessed. I can buy it back at 50% of what I sold it for.

I appreciate your concern for my family. Frankly, a few of them aren't worth the powder it would take to blow them to hell. But, if you want to pay their way...have at it.

Noooooo....there are no single parents who may have become widows and now have 3 or 4 kids to look after on one income...there are no people who have had to leave abusive situations and now just earn one measly income and have kids to support...there are no people out there who earn a measly wage....and thus fit into the working poor category....there are no people who have lost jobs they have done for 30 years due to closures that aren't trained to do anything else or don't have the education to....There are no people who just simply can't get a job because there are none due to the economy....They are all poor and live on welfare and it's their own fault...
indy instead of criticizing obama categorically, why dont you tell us what policies you dont like of his....or is it simply you just dont like him cos hes a democrat/or black???
