were did we come from?what do you think, did we evolve from little microbes or was it the work of an higher power, maybe you think it might even be a bit of both
For me, it's both. Evolution and Divine Creation...all of us have a spark of the Divine within, that's our soul, and part of the Earth, that's our body.
Earth my body, Water my blood, Air my breath, and Fire my spirit.
I listened to an interview a couple of weeks ago, it was one scientist interviewing another - one of them worked at a Creationist Museum somewhere in the states and the evolutionist asked him how he could reconcile the Bibles teachings with with accepted scientific fact - the creationist guy replied that wherever the scientific findings came into conflict with biblical teachings, they discarded the science - which just about says it all for me really.......

i also think to my self what is a god,i meen at the moment we have the meens to create life, we can jean splice to even make sub speaces even tho i cant spel it hahaha,
we can pratically clone,we can with animals so belive me the ability is there for hmans they just wont admit to it,so, if we was to travel back in time, would we be classed as gods?the creater of life?,
sience says that all life began in the sea as microbes, then we evoled and was able to come out of the water on to land.
the bible says life was created in 7 days by an all powerful god,is it possible that a race of beings who was very advanced came and we thort they was gods?

I believe that the highlighted part did happen a few times in history. There's quite a bit of evidence to support this theory.

Conrad73: I'd say that leaves some people here with plenty Egg on their Faces, might even be an Ostrich-Egg.
hehehe but at the same time,no ones faith is being questioned,we might of evoled from ape, but whos to say that an higer pwer didnt make ape?or start the life process its self off here on earth, so in that case the higher power would of been the creature of man, its just that we had to evolve

I read Gold of the Gods and Chariots of the Gods, and in them were pics of statues by the Incas and Mayans showing people with rocket packs on their backs, caves that were carved out with a technology beyond what our lasers today can do, etc. So, yes, I believe it's true that advanced civilizations used to visit here...might even have made us. Who knows? There are all kinds of interesting theories out there with good evidence to back them up.

chriss: but doesnt the question of were u will go when u die revert back to the question is there a god?
Not necessarily. To what god do you refer? There are several. Perhaps we are reincarnated in an endless cycle. That would not require a materialist understanding of a godhead.

We did not evolve from the great apes. That is a misconception often espoused by people who don’t fully grasp the Theory of Evolution. We shared a common ancestor with chimpanzee about 6 million years ago. They went in one direction and we went in another. There would be several species in between that would go extinct. Think of it as branches on a tree. At the tip of one branch would be a chimpanzee and on the tip of another homo sapiens (us.) We both evolved into our own unique species. If we had evolved from chimp, where would chimp be today?
The Hominidaeform a taxonomic family, including four extant genera: humans, chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans.

I don't know about that. If we were all reincarnated why would the population levels keep going up.. There will never be any easy answers to these questions.

If we are reincarnated at all it may not be a human to human transference. It might be, but who’s to say. Aren’t animals living beings? What's to say that animals do not possess souls? What about plants? Aren’t they living? Humans are animals. We are part of the taxonomic family of Great Apes.

yes i do understand what u are saying, in other words,if the ape had evolved to our lvl of sentece or how ever u spel it hahaha, then a perfect example of how they would look is the film planet of the apes
and that we would of looked practically the same now as we did a few million years ago exept we might of not been able to walk totally up right, we might of had moor hair to keep warm and wouldnt know our elbow from our arses cus our brains would of been smaller, or perhaps the same size but not use a lot of it,
and becouse we still dont use a larg % of our brain do u think that leaves moor room for us to evolve further or do u think weve reached our max?

That’s a little difficult to follow but as for your last question, yes, we are constantly evolving. Evolution never stops but it has the ability to slow down and speed up. Our Stone Age ancestors were more genetically similar to Neanderthals than they are to us, as our species has evolved 100 times faster in the past 5,000 years than at any other time in human evolution. There are far different "survival pressures" being placed on our physical bodies now than there were several thousand years ago.
Genetic data is now showing that with certain aspects of our cultures, such as diet and medicine, and also the ballooning human population, the gas pedal on the evolution of our species is literally being pushed.

i do know that we seam to be getting taller lol,if you take a trip in to lincoln, england theres a village there leading from the catherdral that was built in the 11th centry, in the village the door ways of the houses are so much smaller than the doorways now, and even the avrage person had to bend down to stop hitting there heads, that to me would say that we seam to grow over time and become taller, also with out disease and un natual things that end life now our life span also seams to be getting longer,
if thats the case im just trying to picture how we would look in another 10 thousand years.
Yes we are continuously evolving. I can’t argue with people who want to say that some divine creatrix used biological evolution as a mechanism to create life on earth. Why not? Whatever makes people happy. But will I believe in Adam and Eve and all those tales in the bible? No.

Like I said earlier, There will never be any easy answers to these questions. But... Lot's of interesting argument/debate
