Jackson: How DARE you ask this question, Jess47??!! "Dud" has been inciting Obama "mania" here for MONTHS! So, to answer your question, NO, he DOES NOT have any other interests!!! (At least he does NOT appear to have other interest based on my personal experience here on CS!!!)

Dud & Indyfella & "The_Kansan"--not to mention OTHERS--have had an opinion on this subject for months, and months.......and months.....ad infinitum....ad nauseum!!

My (quite SERIOUS) question is: why the FREAK does Dud have an opinion AT ALL?????????? Last I looked, "Dud" was NOT even an AMERICAN CITIZEN???

It is called the "United States of AMERICA" because WE are an INDEPENDENT group of VOLUNTEERS who LEFT Europe by CHOICE!!!!!!!!!

Get OVER YOURSELF, DUD? ("DUDE")! Americans do NOT (in any WAY, SORT, or FASHION!) need nor WANT your pitiful, whiny-assed, unsolicited/undesired opinion!

JMHO, Jess!

Jackson!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I was being sarcastic. Yes, he may "come around" by my lights, but so far, I strongly disagree with his domestic policies.

I am a citizen of the U.S., not the world. I mean this in a legalistic sense-that our laws should be decided by us and for us. You are surely right on the last point.

Among others! I have no problems with anyone arguing whether a policy is good or bad, it's HOW they do it that matters.

Yes, we have made some stupid calls-no doubt. However, some of our interventions were for good, though futile reasons.

che guavera's death from orders of the CIA for a start

hiroshima and negasaki

vietnam

there is more, way more.......need i go on??

american power and the exercise of it is a really complicated issue that covers more pages than anyone here could write. the american government has over the years been involved in more skulduggery and downright illegal and immoral behavior than almost any other nation on the planet. i say almost because their are plenty of other nations out there who've acted as badly - if not worse. on the other hand america has been the most generous, and caring nation in the history of mankind - rebuilding europe and japan after the second world war, funding the united nations, and donating trillions of dollars to natural disaster relief the world over. so is the bully label deserved? the short answer is sometimes - yes, and sometimes-no
