StressFree: Obama is just doing what the people who voted him in asked him to do...stop these corporate jets takeing a trip to Las Vegas or anywhere on the taxpayer's dime. Duh...

That Duh effected one local economy in a pretty negative way, Stress. Was not the tax payer dime by the way. Was the corporation dime.

The Corp types after the auto industry got burned on the Washington DC flyin to get bailout money......started to cut back corporate flight operations....not wishing to get the negative publicity.

They don't the negative PR....and Las Vegas turns into the city without conventions and high rollers.....all because? Flying is bad for the economy, according to President Obama as his Air Force
1 does a $380,000 photo shot over NY?

StressFree: We are in the now, not then. Besides, the green sector will be the boom that will turn around America. You guys that went to hs in the early 80's and 70's need to step out of that era of Corporate control.

What green sector?

You are pinning your hopes on a business sector that is in it's infancy. Is your green sector going to leap from Obama's head in full armor tomorrow morning?

Have you ever done anything for work but play ball other than summer jobs when you were a kid?

You dream big I'll give you that.

Ah, the corporation (Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs) can't fly on our money so they won't go...nice. Did you know that Goldman's earnings in 2008 and Q1 2009 benefited from the bailout, on Bush's watch?

We don't want this kind of corporate practice in our America. The old ways of corporate pillaging are over.

I have said over and over that this is long term and that nothing is accomplished over night. Obama said this over and over again in his campaign, and some patience on your part as well as a positive attitude would be helpful if you want to live in a better world.

I'm not in the mood to engage in personal attacks. I see your hand buddy and I'm not going there. Stick to the issues and don't worry about my personal life. beer

Several banks 1 st quarters are all positive under Obama watch.

If you read my posts on how the banks were forced by Barry Franks to re appraise property values in the summer of 08, prior to the election, Stress.....you would know why the banks had a financial crisis in the fall.

When did a corp pillage you Stress?........LOL............
I will have to get out my Atilla the Hun movie to find out how good corp pillaging is done......LOL

Tom, you're not telling the whole story. You sound verbatim from the anit-liberal blogs and news sources that I read...

The media from left to right is not as clever if you can see through the smoke....

My point "buddy" is that you have never lived in the real world.

You've had to live with certain responsibilities that the rest of us have not but, that said, "buddy" you have not had to live with many of the unpleasant realities that most of us have.

Nonsense like "The wild imagination leads to Memes to propagate... Good Memes of course. But not perfect. Nothing is perfect except for planet earth itself." is the worst sort of pop culture tat. You are 36 for crying out loud. Other than Shirley McClain most people outgrew that foolishness by the time they were out of college.

I've been hearing the same tune from your sort since the 60s and you know what "buddy"? You men and women of wisdom are no closer to your goals than you were 40 years ago.

See if I miss anything

April of 08. Barry Franks and the house committee on finance that he leads....calls for a new 'conduct in the appraisals' of properties.

May of 08. Banks and appraiser begin to revalue their mortages and reassess property value. This reappraisal decreases the income side of the banks balance sheet by billions. Starts to send them into bankruptcy.

Early Sept of 08. Barry Frank in a luncheon with the Boston Chamber of Commerce (his home district)...he proceeds to say to them (near quotes)
1) we need to consider new assets in the banking industry (banks have most of their assets in property mortage)
2) we are having a banking crisis (the financial crisis did not happen till later in fall)
3) we need to reconsider valuations methods of properties

This was done to warn his backers in Boston that a banking crisis was coming.

If you want a site to his statements.....they are recorded on a .gov site for the house banking committee....I think. Been a while since I went thru it.

Did I miss anything, Stress? Those are the facts, timeline and Franks statements...I am not putting anything into them.....Franks predicted the worse economic crisis the country has had since the 1932 depression...but he also forced it by his
re-regulation of property appraisials....so was a pretty easy prediction to make.

Meh, circular reasoning.yawn

You don't know anything about how I support myself independent of baseball. I'm not rich or well off because of baseball lol...

You live in the world you create and you create the world you live in...that's reality.

Perception is reality...

No one said you were rich with or without baseball.

My take that you have not lived in the real world is based on the feel good, we are the future nonsense you have been pumping out. As I said before I've been hearing that junk since the 60s. Some of the older dogs around have been hearing it since the 30s.

Tell you what "buddy" when you and your pals have changed the world to fit your dreams I'll hop in my zero emission, solar powered hovercraft and come over and paint the windmill on you emu farm for you.

Stress...Barry Franks regulates the entire banking industry yes?
The site you gave has 20 pages of parties talking about individual
with mortage problems and various kinds of bank loans.

Barry Franks revaluation effected the value held in the bank's books....it cost banks billions, Stress.

Most consider home now under valued greatly. We have house here locally.....2006 were at $360K now selling at $170K.

Barry Franks took billions in people home equity away from them,
caused a financial crisis in the country in a election year,
helped to cause fore closurer by banks and sent the country into a depression/recession.

What these parties are discussing are individual mortage issues and bad buys...bad loans made. Banks have a 'risk factor' placed into their business model for failed loans. So on a average year these kinds of mortage failures are covered and the bank profits.

But not when their entire protofolio of properties is reappraised in value can they profit. That is what Franks did.
