I update them alot, but see many on forever.
Any reason why people don´t update pics?


I update them more or less continuously, but that's no doubt a bit extreme. I find it reassuring when people change their photos periodically, because it makes feel they're more real, and also that I'm involved in a small way in their lives.

I imagine some people don't revise their profile because: 1) they're satisfied with their photos; 2) they just aren't terribly interested in portraying their immediate selves; 3) a current photo would portray them in an unflattering light; 4) they'd prefer to maintain some anonymity with older photos; 5) they don't have a camera handy; 6) they aren't particularly taken with their physical appearance and don't see themselves being worth the effort to updates pics...and the list no doubt goes on and on.

its only been a month since i joined and i update mine a few times already...all of my pics are current......funny this thread because only this morning a friend of mine sent me a pic of a guy she met here and she asked for a pic because the one on his profile wasn't clear.............get this ..the pic on his profile is a pic of him 20 yrs ago......lol........dunno

I update mine when I feel that the last one isn't timely. That's about once every 2 months or so, but lately I'm thinking it's better to not have one up... seems it only attract illiterates and ignoramuses who either cannot or will not read the profile. very mad

THANKS all of you for your Comments, I too by the way have found two people on this Site with the same Pic, as three years ago....
In my mind it´s not right, we all age, look different etc.
I DO fully understand that if you don´t have a Camera it can´t be done so easily unless you borrow one.
And those who don´t have Pics have less chances to meet someone usually. Thanks againapplause

Well, I must agree that has happened to me as well, but prefer leaving a current Pic on!

I take a new photo, just when I get to where I can afford a new camera. See...I use the old one to take the picture, because it don't work anymore afterwords! tip hat cheers

I have nothing to hide. The pic of me in blue shirt was taken July 2006 and the one with black jacket was Christmas 2008.

I look more like the one in 2008 cause I put on a few pounds.

I'm not looking for love....so it doesn't matter what pic is on there. Many people have their dogs or a cartoon. What's the big deal about what pic is there.dunno

It's funny, Snuggie. I actually do make a very good Jesus (white anglo-saxon, buff version) when I let my hair grow long and wear a beard. I should put up a photo like that at some point. Not sure why the grass on my head makes you think of him, though...confused dunno wave hug

By the way AB, you have a lot of nice pics but I think my favorite is the cowboy hat and there is one more that shows your arm muscles.thumbs up

I update my photos pretty often. But there are some that I just keep on here, as well. I have to agree with Ambrose... those who change theirs often I tend to trust more, as you can tell it's really them & not a googled pic or an old pic.

Yeah, L, you're one of the ones here who does it right when it comes to profile photos, imo. I really enjoy a lot of variety in profile photos - get to see the person in different light, angles, expressions, and settings...head banger thumbs up
