Ya know, I tried to vote for Spring time in the South, but I could only vote for the season, or the place, and once I voted for one or the other, then the vote was closed. So I think the results are skewed (screwed ?) a little.
But I vote for Nashville in the Spring, because the coastal cities are expensive, and Nashville is somewhat centered and lots to do.
Or maybe Dallas of Austin Texas. Or Denver.

The big problem is this country is so big that anywhere would be a long trip for somebody. I dont see a way around that. My brother and sister-in-law have been to Branson Mo. a few times and they say that its great. To be honest, where I reside is a beautiful, quiet place. Just right to get to know one another. The park and camping area is 2 blocks from my place. The wildlife sanctuary where my son got married in June is very peaceful. Also, believe it or not a drive-in only 30 minutes away with double features every week-end. Hey John, That would be a great place for spooning Just a thought. I know distance would be a problem for many, but we will always have that problem.

I think the best bet would be to take all the possibilitys and make a poll of them and see what you get.I have been to Branson also and yes it is a fantastic place. But some things are a little costy. I was thinking more of a place where we can enjoy without having to take out a 5 year loan

Lebanon Kansas is a few miles from Nebraska and that would be central...and everything is wonderful in the spring when the birds are twitterpating..
and that gives times for planning..We'll see how the gang votes..

Colorado is the next best state next to Kansas that will get everyone as close as possible to the center of the USA. Of course I prefer any place that has a beach next to the ocean.
Colorado = pricey!
