I think a person can have more than ONE friend bcoz its his right but i m also of the view that there should be a single person with whom we should be serious for future relation.
Whats ur opinion about the person who have more than ONE friend?
Should he be called to be a cheater and flirt??

I could not keep up with dating more than one person at a time, much less having more than one lover. Although friends with benefits I hear enables you to have as many and you want. roll eyes

I was never able to date more than one person at a time either!!
I also can't do more than one lover at once and I don't believe in friends with benefits, because that is still a lover anyway you look at it. So, to me it simply boils down to either platonic friendship or a serious lover. Being over 40, I don't see any point in wasting any time with anyone for a romantic interest unless it was for the long haul!! It's also different when you have children, you don't want them seeing you with someone different every couple of weeks or months.

Now that I am raising my granddaughter I feel the same way about having different people in and out. Last month she told me she wants me to find someone. I was nearly floored as she is almost 4 yrs. old.

I have made friends on CS, but aside from that nothing. I am not in the frame of mind to play games although many want to and we are all over 40. cool

I have a 4 year old, so I know what it's like. She starts a sentence with "your suppose to." She is already beyond the questioning stage, she interrogates intensely!! All she needs is a laser pen to burn your eyeballs during the questioning process!!
These kids are amazing!!

Playing Games? I can only assume some of us 40 year olds are still rather immature, but you already know that. Perhaps it's because at our age we have become too complex, set in our ways, stuck in our own self created microcosm of a reality? dunno

Dang - have I given myself a false glass ceiling?

Nah - friendship it'll have to be..... and nothing else!

Good morning Robert wave

To me, real friendship is priceless. People in all the other categories come and go, as does the respect in some cases. You know, judging by some of the mails I've received, some men seem not to understand the different between friendship and all the other kinds of relationships... i.e "Hi, I want to be your friend. What's your cup size?" doh

...(and don't even think about asking me laugh).

The question is can a person.
The answer is people already do.
The opinions are mostly that they shouldn't.
I haven't much to say on the subject as I've been there with the benifical friend, and it wasn't a good idea for me.
And that's the root of the matter. Personal opinion.

I feel the same way and on the other side of the coin, some women are the same way. They ignore me for weeks and months..then suddenly, out of the blue, they send me an email wanting to be my friend and expect to get response from me.

Am I crazy to expect friendship to be a two way street, give and take, share alike? Should I be someone's friend only when it's convenient for them? Perhaps it's just me, I would rather have a few good deep friendships than a bunch of shallow platonic friendships. confused
