But on second thought we have a little further to go. Because if you did 22 years of service and were outed in 1990 (19 years ago) and
today are 48 in age.....you enlisted in the Army at age 7.

REP are the quiet kind that sneak up and infiltrate the other party.
Guess when President Obama decided to keep those 300 REP in DoD, he was thinking ahead..........

Your profile says 48 yo age. minus 1990 (19 years ago) minus 22 years of service = 7 years.

kev147: When people in europe think of americans it can be one or the other,
the americans i have met through my life have been very friendly but uneducated on history outside of America,
this is due to their educational system,
as far as war hungry go's i think that go's without saying,
and i dont agree with most americans owning guns either

Cheers to that. For a fact, as I went to school in America we were taught American History and sometimes in Military History we learned a little about other places, of course places we had been involved in war with, but it is so true the American education system is the worst in the world for a fact, not only does it not teach what there is beyond the borders of America, but evades it completely and the only thing American Public Schools care about is getting their paycheck and could care less about the students. I ended up going to a Private school to get a real education instead of being around druggies, party hungry teens and those who were in sports just had to pass the basics in order to graduate since sports was more important than education.
Most people I have met from other countries can speak several languages, only a few in America can do that and most of them are from another Country living in America. The requirements for any other Country (other than a Third World Country) is ten times that of the American Education requirements to graduate. Where I live now, students have to only know Algebra 1 in order to Graduate in which they should already be in Calculus or Trig to meet any higher college standard for entry. The reading levels here are horrible and the teachers leave the students reading at 5th grade levels and do not advance any of the students reading skills, that is left up to the students themselves which doesn't happen because the students are also not taught how to study properly, so they get frustrated, bored or just give up and go play with their friends instead. Then parents wonder why their children are failing every grade unless the child had a parent that sat down with them and taught them how to study and how to use their time properly. Even so, the Education system keeps the American students at a 5th grade level.
I ended up going to a Christian Private School and when I was taught how to study properly and use my time wisely, I was soon at college reading and math levels, in which I was also taught how to read properly.
As a matter of fact, there is a course people can buy that teaches them how to read by sight, not by sound..you know sounding out each word in your mind as you read it, but rather see it and remember it as a picture and soon you are reading 5,000 words a minute, but the course was expensive and is not taught in public schools or in any college. Why? I have no idea why the education system wants the students today to be limited on their education when they could be reading 5,000 words a minute in the 5th grade.
Anyway, back to the topic, there has always been some Nation involved in all the worlds affairs and putting troops in some place they aren't needed, from the Spanish to the French to even England and before them Rome and now America. The involvement of some power in the world is like an never ending story. However, it reflects back as a bad image on that Nation for its ignorance in trying to have troops all over the world when those Countries were doing just fine without them to begin with.
Americans in General are not bad, its our Dictator Government that is doing what they want without the publics vote on it.

REP have been trying to enlighten him since took office. I thought we had him, when I saw him throw a solid salute to the Marine guard as he exited the Presidential helo. Thumb was straight, fingers together, to the eyebrow and was not a flyer.

Now he goes and ruins my entire thinking toward him with his position on troops to Afghanistan. But we will keep trying......

You are wrong about American people. It is like the canadian poet once said . Who is the first country there to give aid when there is an earth quake anywhere in the world . What country is there to give food relief when everyone else turns there head and yells sombody should help . what country is there with financial aid to help every developing country THE U S A . when we have a disaster here what country came to our aid ??????? NONE so before you putting down the U S you better look in your little coner of the world first .
