kev147: i never said i dont like America,
its simply a dsicussion on how people VIEW America,
im suprised you call people aliens though ??

It's an interesting technique of saying something with out saying it "Not that I would ever say X, but everybody else says X"

Every country has it's own strengths and failings. We also tend to view others through the filter of our own biases.

Especially in America where lets face it everyone is an alien if you go back on the hisory,
except the indians(native americans) that were butchered of course

I'd say neither, cause America is not only obese, come on I only weigh 98 pounds (I'm trying to gain weight) and I'm also a Pacifist, I hate all violence.

the americans i have met through my life have been very friendly but uneducated on history outside of America,
this is due to their educational system,
as far as war hungry go's i think that go's without saying,
and i dont agree with most americans owning guns either

not all american states allow people to carry guns , its not like dodge city with everyone going around packing a pistol,,lol

have you ever been to america and hows your knowledge on american history?

I have met some good americans and not so good...

Some are very rude and some are very nice...

Things here in Canada are more expensive becos our minium wage is higher..

and in North Carolina mimium wage is lower and things are lower..

but since heard its gone up..so i am sure prices will soar too..

The weather there is lovely..and at times cool..same here in Canada..

I think some view them like they view Canadians..

that's a fairly narrow choice you've given us there sparky. i'd point you in the direction of hunter s thompson, william s burroughs, richard pryor, kim gordon, erica campbell and so on

As an American...I guess I can speak here. That is one of the rights I have. If we are viewing what everyone thinks of America...I can only speak for myself. I LOVE MY COUNTRY.
Though it was said by someone else here...I don't agree with everything the government is doing...I have a choice to agree or disagree. Unlike some of the other countries.

I choose to live in this Country because of the freedom, the rights, the fact it is my birth place and the beautiful scenery around me. Ozark Mountains are gorgeous this time of year with all the tree changes (OK getting off topic sorry)

I can hunt, fish, raise my little farm the way I want without someone telling me I can or can't. I ride my horses when and where I want. I buy and sell or give away what I want off my place. I go to work or stay at home. There's so many different choices and freedoms I have or can do that other countries wouldn't allow.

As far as how others view us...does it really matter?? Some countries need us...just as we need them.

I love America and all it has to offer.

I like to think that we are viewed good country and people..

but we are not all like that..

I dont knock people who use them..but mostly everyone here dont..unless its hunting season..

We use other means of protection..and its due to haveing alot older generation here and much young kids here..

sorry im not really sure what your trying to say here your english is a bit dodgy so i cant answer,
again your all missing the point its about how americans are viewed !!!
My main bone of contention is the way America started an illegal war in iraq and are still there,
i think america and the european armys should leave now.
and by all means go back to afghanistan and find the people that actually committed that horrible atrocity on 911,
and hunt out the taliban.
so bearing that in mind do you think your leaders are letting you down by pursuing needless wars in the wrong countries ?
