jessejess47: This is true and why most see threads and polls such as these for what they are just another bashing thread.....

Sort of like midieval warfare, a confusing mass of contending duos whacking away at each other.

But still, at the end of the day, when all the debris and carnage has been cleaned away, one position or another may have become better established.

Anybody who doesn't think the disputed terrain is worth the trouble would do better to stay off the battlefield.

I always ask myself, "is this thread really worth getting involved in", and as often as not, I end up erasing posts that may have taken a long time to write on the basis of that question.

Well, actually it's more of a food cycle than a chain.

I see bashing from both sides but I think it is a valid topic and do believe that is not only how the world sees Americans, it's also how many see our politicians have acted for too many years.

We are ultimately responsible for their actions aren't we? If we live here and vote (or don't) we put them in office and kept them there. frustrated

I agree with what you're saying.
No country has a monopoly on evil.
All countries have their past massacres.
And nobody can really pride themselves in their nation's history.
But there are ongoing massacres now, and policies that will lead to even more.
I don't believe any nation is ever going to change.
But individuals can change and they can pull themselves out of the delusion that leads to inhumanity.
The countries can (and will) go to hell.
But individuals don't have to let themselves be dragged along.

I hear you, but we cant address what isn't acknowledged, that way nothing will ever change.

What are countries made of not just the government but the common people living there too. In America we are blessed to have Civil rights, and Voting rights. We have a voice as a nation but I believe it has been apathetic until the stock market crashed.

It's actually been the more involved fanatical, fringed, bought and paid for voters that have been carrying the elections, not the main population.

Guess the old sayings are applicable here, things matter to you if you're hit in the wallet, and "Follow the Money trail" come to mind. dunno

Skybow and Ray you both seem to have missed the point of my post ....it has nothing to do with politics or the going ons of ANY people or nation...but with the fact that on ANY givin day or night you can easily gamble a large sum of money that there will be at least one if not several threads in the top twenty threads on CS that is really just a bashing thread....and it does get a bit boring...how other Americans can bypass these is be on me, they are a stronger person than I....and I am not a weak minded person I assure you...handshake

it seems on here if you tell the truth about America people want to give you a hard time. . but must have never really left the USA. so they only know about the rest of the world from what they read. they should try doing a little traveling sometimes. and really see how the world feels about them.

i suggest to people who live in a dream land of the USA. try traveling. instead of calling people names because they tell the truth. as for being on a dating site. i believe it plainly says on my profile i,m not looking for a date. i have a women. my view are only mind. i really don't care if some don't like it or not.
