CjTenorSax: True. Also, very sad. Wh have been asked for help so many times and everytime we give the help the rest of the world sees us as warmongerers.

The rest of the world needs to step up to the plate and give the assistance we are constantly being begged for by others.

Once the world starts to give the assistance, they too will be called War Lovers in time. Since this is not what the complainers want, they stay in the background, ignore the truth and put their spin on things. So sad.

We need to start refusing to help and take care of our own right here in our own backyard.

Once we, start this, then the pressure will be placed upon the ones that step up to the plate in our stead. Then they will find out what it is all about.

To whom much is given, much is expected. Every country that has been on top has had its supporters AND its detractors, this is the way of history. Everyone is not going to love you, that is how human nature is. But once you respect and treat others as you would expect to be treated, then that is all that is required.wine

Agreed with you on this Taino, But right now, we do not have the resources we had in the past. So now others that do, need to step up to the plate and take their turn helping and endure the flack for doing so.

As for the last sentence, You are 100% correct. I believe the majority of my fellow Americans do this. I know I do. How wever, We seem to have the unfortunate ability to pick leaders that do not share this view.

My parents are from Ireland but I am an American citizen. I have traveled a great deal and I can say this...Americans in general are fat and completely ignorant. I was in Australia and the only fat people I saw were American tourists. I have seen Americans try and use US Dollars in nearly ever foriegn country Ihave been too. Many of the least educated Irish farmers I know are far more informed than even "educated" Americans. Dont get me wrong I love America, but being fat and ignorant is one bad thing about it.

Not too long ago, a European said to me: "80% of the gays in the world live in the west."

Not too long ago, an American asked: "Where's NATO on this map (map of Europe on the wall).

Seems to me to be a tie. cool
