Bu I have never been Baptised.... but Sure belive in God... the way My mother tought me... she was raised on atheism... but was Baptised at 82 - or 83.... some years later at 86 the same Priest wich she liked .. burried her...
I was raised in an Evangical United Brethren Church until the age 14 when I found my Irish Jewish roots, and then from the age of 14, I have been a practicing Messianic Jew [the Jews who Believe in the Messiah].
When my husband passed 6 1/2 years ago and I watched as the church of do gooders decided after praying for and visiting me for about 2 weeks it was time to forget about me and move on to more important agenda. Since then I and my Creator have an understanding. HE will never forget me.
My parents where not very religious, more "we go to church on Christmas". I was never happy nor satisfied, so once I was old enough to think properly on these matters, I started searching for something that made sense to ME and that I felt comfortable with.

I was raised Prebyterian (Church of Scotland) but I'm sure we were only sent to Sunday school to look middle class and give mum and dad quality time in bed on a Sunday morning if you get my drift.
Much later it was a once a year Christmas Watchnight service job withn free soup!
Like yourself, I've found a higher power that works for me today and is more based around nature.? I think not! At least not in a Christian sense!
I was raised as an Anglican. But when the church wanted 15% of your income...Father said...goodbye to the church. Now, I attend church sporadically. I am spiritual but don't believe you need a man made building to attend your faith.
